## The Best Focus Timer Apps
FocusPomo is a Pomodoro-based time management app with a minimal and beautiful design, powerful features, and a rewarding sense of progress.
Our mission is to improve and protect your attention. That’s why we don’t simply pile on features, and we don’t use addictive game-like rewards. FocusPomo is built to help you focus on one thing at a time.
## When you may need FocusPomo
1. You work hard, but still don’t feel real progress
2. Your study or work efficiency feels low
3. You get distracted easily and want to reduce procrastination
4. Important things keep getting delayed
5. You want to become more disciplined
6. You want different parts of your life to gradually get better
7. You have many things you want to do, but keep making slow progress
## FocusPomo Core Features
1. Real-time sync across all platforms. Sync through iCloud across Mac, iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, so your focus data always stays up to date.
2. A simple and easy-to-use focus timer. No flashy design, no complicated distractions. Everything is designed for a better focus experience.
3. Cute little tomatoes that make focus feel rewarding. Every completed Pomodoro gives you a cute little tomato. Your tomatoes accumulate each week, making effort more visible without turning focus into a distracting game. Tomatoes also support motion response and haptic feedback (motion response is currently supported on iOS only).
4. Powerful focus statistics. View focus trends, Pomodoro insights, and detailed data across different tasks and time ranges.
5. Calendar timeline. Reflection helps you improve. View your focus time distribution by one day, two-day comparison, or one week.
6. Optimized for iPad and Mac large screens. View more useful information and enjoy a focus experience designed for larger screens.
7. Mac support. View timer status, focus task, and today’s focus data from the menu bar. Start, pause, or end focus sessions without opening the app.
8. Apple Watch App that works independently. No iPhone needed. Start a timer, create or edit focus tasks, and manage focus directly on Apple Watch.
## FocusPomo Design Philosophy
1. Focus. We don’t build an all-in-one product. We focus on time management and help make your effort truly pay off.
2. Simplicity. Simplicity is not the goal. It is the result. Every feature and detail is carefully researched, considered, and refined.
3. Warmth. FocusPomo hopes to become a small quiet space for you, staying with you through your effort, focus, and growth.

I love collecting the tomatoes, but it makes me really mad when I have to pause the timer because of someone else. I didn’t know that it would give me a sad-faced tomato! I wish that I could pause the timer without punishment. I know when it’s my fault or someone else’s fault for having to stop my focus. If it was mine, I would take the L/ sad tomato willingly. But when it comes to someone else forcing me off, I don’t deserve to be “punished” with a sad tomato for that. I have a work-study job, so interruptions are always inevitable. I don’t want to keep the timer running while I’m helping a client, because I don’t deserve to be rewarded with a happy-faced tomato when I didn’t actually focus for my chosen amount of time, but I don’t deserve to be punished either because it wasn’t of my choosing to get interrupted. Life happens, and this app should give us the option to reflect that. (Another feature I like about this app: I get to choose the amount of time I want to focus for each session. So I can start small at 15 minutes, then as I get better at focusing, I can increase the duration to 25 or more minutes.)
Love the app

Love the app! Been using it around 2 weeks now and it makes it much easier for me to focus on tasks that don’t necessarily have end dates/times. I’ve always struggled with ongoing things like cleaning or responding to work emails but this helps me give tasks like these a finite amount of time as opposed to feeling like they’re looking over me indefinitely. Instead of being like “oh no I have 100 emails I need to get through” I can instead just be like “I am spending the next 25 minutes on emails.” I get so much more done with so much less existential dread. And it gives me a sense of accomplishment that just powering through part my inbox doesn’t. I also like that the app doesn’t force you to shut everything down to use it. I’ve used apps like that in the past and found them helpful but not the right fit for me.
Great app

This app is great for the standard pomodoro user, and i love watching my tomatoes collect on the main screen after each session. It is very satisfying and motivating! There are some features i think should be added. Under the pomodoro technique section of the settings, there are options to change the length of the short and long breaks, but no way to change the length of the focus sessions. This would make the app alot more customizable and usable by more people for more purposes. I also find the labeling confusing for the focus session settings. The default setting of “3” i believe has 3 short breaks before the long break but the wording is odd and confusing and should offer a description or change to reflect its true meaning. I know more color themes are in development now but the devs should consider maybe different fruits/characters to accumulate on your screen as well if at all possible. overall, this app is my personal favorite for tracking my use of the pomodoro method and i hope to watch the app continue to grow and expand.
Nice app, but needs macOS app and other changes to be the best. Here’s why

Hi, I’ve been using FocusPomo for the whole year with an annual subscription waiting for a “macOS future support” and it never happened. I mean, I did’t get synchronized timer that I could have controlled from all of the computers as I had in a “Flow” app. Now my annual subscription is gone and I’m looking forward to upgrading to a natively macOS supported version and finally buy it. I really like this app but it’s sad that the full-macOS version takes too much time to be released.I know, I could use iPadOS version on macOS, but it wasn’t actually that good as I expected to be like. I really wanna see those features like menu-bar control or screen saver notifications, not just Live Activities from macOS Support. Also, I didn’t like the Dynamic Island length during the focus time. It covered all the system icons like cellular and wifi. I may understand it was about to be focused on what you do, but it didn’t look naturally for me. Thanks!
Developer Response
Thanks so much for the detailed feedback! It really helps us a lot. I'm sorry the Mac version has been taking so long—we've had a lot on our plate. Last year, we focused heavily on optimizing the iPad full-screen experience to build a solid foundation for Mac, as the Mac version will be based on those big-screen improvements. The good news is that the first version of the Mac app is now our top priority! We're starting with menu bar support for quick timers, switching focus, notes, and white noise, with more features to follow. We'd love to hear any other ideas you have!
