With this Immersive Learning experience you will be able to practice, fail and learn in a realistic scenario with no concern on real consequences for patient’s families. The Family Approach app is an Interactive and Immersive 360 Video Learning Experience developed from the DTI Foundation which aims to complement the “Family Approach for Organ Donation” training programme. Students will be immersed in a realistic learning experience on how to properly conduct breaking bad news and request for donation processes with patient’s families. The experience serves as a wrap-up exercise for every student enrolled in the course. Using VR cardboard glasses, students will find themselves in front of the patient’s family, they will make decisions that will affect the course of the experience, they will get personalized feedback on their decisions and they will be provided with a final debriefing. Once the experience is finished, they can run through it again changing their previous decisions and comparing the different consequences. All people you see in the VRE have given their consent and all situations were set in scene. No patients are shown in this VRE. We wish you an enriching learning experience. The DTI Foundation Team.
