Our fleet recently signed on with KT after trialing multiple providers. The KT Fleet app launched within our trial and was something we knew we needed from our ELD provider. The app is new and still has features to be desired, however even in v1 stage it’s an absolutely game-changing tool for our fleet managers to have.Feature suggestions:- show last active/ most recent driver on truck list (currently it only shows the driver name if they are on-duty.. otherwise it will just show truck #). This becomes confusing if you have many trucks. - Search a driver by their name in the app even if they aren’t currently on-duty. Currently only on-duty drivers are searchable, which means you can’t look up a drivers logs, last location, or even contact them while they are off duty/ in sleeper. - on the default view of the map(shows entire USA), it groups all your trucks by location and creates a cluster icons to show you how many trucks you have within an area. I understand this is for the purpose of not having an overwhelming amount of individual truck dots on the map, however the location grouping is a bit deceiving. It will have an icon with x number over California, making it appear that x trucks are in Cali... however when you zoom in, the individual truck icons start dispersing from the numbered cluster and appear in a variety of states (all on the west coast, but not just Cali as the icon made it appear). Perhaps cluster by state or just make the individual truck dots smaller.- dashcam harsh event footage review would be amazing (similar to how it appears in the driver app). However right now it’s still accessible for fleet managers on mobile through email alerts & the KT website. I’m excited to see where the KT team continues to take this. Keep up the great work KT!!-LA

Cowboy carriers
I was recently on a contract with motive using their ELD and camera package. I was involved in a pretty serious six truck accident where I have multiple broken bones. I only have one truck so the company was temporarily shut down while I healed. I paid the monthly bill the first couple of months, but tried to explain to motive that I was unable to make the payments as my business just started, and I’m unable to work. After explaining that’s a little bit of money that I had was all that I had for food in my home bills and even had money sent from family. They continue to take the payment out. I understand that I had a contract, but at some point, you have to have a heart and I know that there’s no heart in business however two or three months of service when it’s not even being used it’s not that much to you guys, however, it meant the world to me. Technically I guess they did nothing wrong. I just expected a little bit of compassion. I would never use this company again and I advise anyone reading this not to also.

Motive can use this app to access your camera without your knowledge and spy on you in your daily life. That is how they stole my brand new card information and used it without my awareness nor authorization to do so, shortly after we had terminated our contract.They tried to tell us that we gave them this information, but why would we do so knowing that we would no longer be needing the services?Once you get involved with this company it is at your own risk.They will harass you with phone calls and emails and steal your information and your money if you try to leave.We were customers for almost 4 years and they refused to let us leave a year ago after locking us into a lucrative 2 year contract a year before that.We had to wait out the whole contract to get away from them, and now they used this very app to get access to our camera and steal our card number.They claim we made the payment to renew another 2 year contract. They are absurd!!How can they even be allowed to stay in business?!!We will never recommend this company to anyone, and we will continue to warn users of their apps to be aware of the fact that Motive Do Access Your Camera to Spy on you and Steal sensitive information from you whenever they want to. They have been reported to the law enforcement, FTC and the FBI for violating several rights and breaking several laws, theft, fraud, larceny and espionage, just to name a few.If you decide to deal with them, please know that it is at your own risk.We didn’t become aware of their practices until we tried to leave.You Have Been Warned -

I advise against using MOTIVE as an ELD provider because I have used their services for five years and found their prices excessively high. They charge $47 per driver, while there are much more affordable alternatives, including options for as low as $25 per driver. Additionally, when you subscribe to their services, your contract is automatically renewed for another year. If you wish to cancel your subscription, you must notify them at least one month before your current contract ends. For example, if your contract expires in December, you need to call them in November; otherwise, you will be forced to pay for the following year, even if you are not using their service. Many people do not read the contracts when signing up, and their agreement states that the contract will renew annually. If you do not inform them in advance about your cancellation, they will continue charging you. Based on this, I strongly advise against using this company as an ELD provider.

In this version, we’ve added support for Asset Cards in the Fleet App and enabled AI-powered data extraction for receipt uploads for eligible fleets.
