WHY I BUILT MYTEAPAL:
As a tea enthusiast for over ten years, I always wished there were a way to record my tea journey, including all the teas I tasted, teawares I collected, brewing methods I used, and feelings I sensed.
I then found that tea journaling was the best way to do this, but after trying a few paperback tea journals and other tea apps, I was disappointed. None of them felt right to me.
I wanted to create an all-in-one tea app that made it easy for tea drinkers to catalogue their teas and teawares, find their favorite ways of brewing, record their thoughts, and share with their tea friends.
So I created MyTeaPal. I hope through this app, we can all become more mindful about what teas we have tasted, how we brewed them, and how they made us feel. Wishing you the best with your tea journey!

I genuinely love this app so much, it’s become such a must for someone like me who loves tea. Going into it I was honestly expecting a bit more of a straight to the point, instant gratification kind of app so I was confused and skeptical at first and it took me a good minute to really learn and get used to everything, but I made sure to give it a shot cause I could tell it had more than meets the eye, how there was so much thought and depth put into the making of this app. I was only just wanting a straight forward steep timer at first but I’ve found that the more I’ve learned about the app, the more I’ve come to realize I perfectly click with its interface and all the features I didn’t even know I needed. From listing all the tea specifications, logging your thoughts every time you drink, and even logging what you use to drink too (very helpful), it gets freedom of customization down to the T. The app really is just a love letter for tea lovers, it was made with so much care and consideration that it goes above and beyond what you could hope from a tea app, and above all it works really well. I’ve gone from being stubborn at first, not buying into the idea of tea apps all this time, to now having discovered a whole elaborate tea journal in the process and it’s made me so much more excited to indulge in my habitual tea drinking and explore all the different teas out there.
The tea app I’ve been waiting for for years

This app is perfect. I’ve struggled to find a good way to log my brews— I’ve tried a notebook, an excel sheet, just using Instagram, etc. Nothing categorized and organized things the way I wanted until now! It’s all in there, if you’re a big tea lover just download it already! You won’t regret it! Even my college tea club groupchat can’t stop raving about it. I know this app is very new, but one thing I’d love to see in the future would be a social aspect, being able to add friends and see what they’re brewing. 5/5, 10/10. Amazing.

Good start

Vincent The app actually does help people connect. The daily tea posts with those that love tea share their experience. It is not intuitive how to use it. I would particularly like to say the ability to move a tasting journal to the daily tea community post with all of the tasting notes, source and photos would be a lot less work. There is not enough information transferred from my tea journal to the daily T community posts. I would like to have the ability to post most of it otherwise I have to start all over again to post a daily tea community. This should include the picture on my journal. I tried it today and it is just nothing helpful.

Hi there, thanks for your feedback for our Daily Tea feature! You can post about any of your logs in the following 3 ways:1. At "Me" tab, tap on "Posts", and then tap on the top right "+" icon2. At "Community" tab, tap on the sticker icon on the bottom right3. After creating a log, on the summary page, tap on the "Share with community" buttonThen you can tap on the "Add a log" button to either select an existing log, create a new log, or enter a log's detail manually. You can add a picture and some descriptions. If you want your post to be public in "Daily Tea, then make sure to turn on the "Share in Daily Tea" toggle.Let me know if you ever have more questions at feedback@myteapal.com.Best,Vincent from MyTeaPal
Great as is, would be better with rooibos, etc options

I’m loving this app, and finding it very useful for tracking my ever-growing tea stash. One suggestion would be to add separate tea types for rooibos & honeybush, and possibly fruit/herbals, instead of lumping them under tisanes (though if R & H were separate, I’d be fine leaving fruit ones under tisanes). I cold-brew fruity herbals, but drink rooibos & honeybush hot, so would love to have them more separated. Another suggestion might be adding an option for bagged vs loose leaf... I know a lot of folks see bagged tea as near sacrilegious, but some of us use both on occasion. ;)

Hi there, thank you so much for the feedback! I'm currently working on adding more tea styles and building a tea encyclopedia, and it will be available soon. The "bag" unit is currently enabled, and I'll think about how to help users filter bagged teas.If you have any additional feedback, please feel free to email feedback@myteapal.com. Best,Vincent
