v4.2: Nutrient Logger is now 100% ad-free. Your food and profile details never leave your device, not even for analytics. 7-day free trial.
Nutrient Logger is the offline-first nutrition tracker for people who want to know what's actually in their food - not just calories and macros, but the full spectrum of vitamins, minerals, and amino acids your body needs.
Unlike cloud-based trackers, your food log never leaves your device - no account, no cloud, and no ads. And unlike macro-focused apps, every entry breaks down 80+ nutrients so you can spot gaps before they become deficiencies.
Key Features:
* Detailed Nutrient Breakdown
See your daily intake of both macro and micronutrients, from protein and fiber to magnesium and vitamin B12. Choose which nutrients matter to you and reorder them to build a Nutrition tab that fits your goals.
* Barcode Scanner
Scan any packaged food to instantly pull in its nutrition data. If we don't recognize a barcode, you can search manually or add it as a custom food - nothing stops you from logging.
* Extensive Food Database
Search from tens of thousands of foods, including whole ingredients and packaged items, to log meals with precision. Smart search understands what you mean - type "whole milk" and find it instantly, even expand common shortcuts like "OJ" or "PB".
* Log Anything
Scan barcodes, search our database, or add your own - and save your go-to meals for faster logging next time.
* Personalized Targets
Set your own calorie, macro, and micronutrient goals - or use recommended daily values based on your age and sex. Track your progress and stay balanced, with trend charts for calories, macros, and water alongside every nutrient.
* Water Tracking
Log water with one tap and watch an animated tracker fill toward your daily goal. See your hydration trends over 7 or 30 days (Premium).
* Body Metrics & Goals (Premium)
Track weight, body fat, BMI, and waist circumference - pick which ones matter to you. Set a goal and deadline and Nutrient Logger calculates the pace you need, projects your trajectory, and sets a BMR/TDEE-based calorie target to get you there.
* Streaks & Achievements
Build a daily logging streak and a weekly body-tracking streak, with milestone celebrations along the way. See your longest streak, total days logged, and more on your profile.
* Nutrient Trend Charts (Premium)
See how your intake of any nutrient changes over 7 or 30 days. Spot patterns, track consistency, and compare against your daily target.
* Weekly Deficiency Insights (Premium)
A weekly digest flags the nutrients you've been running low on, with foods that would help close the gap.
* Apple Health Sync (Premium)
Automatically write your daily calories, protein, fat, carbs, and water to Apple Health. Import weight data from Health to keep everything in one place.
* CSV Export (Premium)
Export your full food log with nutrient data for any date range - ideal for sharing with a doctor or dietitian.
* Learn as You Log
Discover what each nutrient does for your body and why it matters to your overall health.
Nutrient Logger is perfect for anyone serious about nutrition-whether you’re on a specific diet, managing a deficiency, or just curious about your health. It’s time to go beyond calories and truly understand your food.

I like that you can enter your food and get all the nutritional information. But it would be great to see how it compares to the recommended nutritional daily amounts you should eat. It would also be great to be able to create and save your own foods. I make a smoothie every morning and it would be great to be able to enter all the ingredients once and then select my smoothie.
Not enough foods in search
Traci12345
Im frustrated with this app because they have great micro-nutrient tracking but you can’t input your own foods manually. That means if none of the food options you search match what you’re eating, you can’t log it. A ton of brands and just basic types of food are missing from the search selections. It’s also difficult to find certain things because of how they categorize it. For example, it took me a few minutes to find cinnamon because they log it as a spice, so it doesn’t come up unless you search “spice, cinnamon.” Hope they update their software so that the food search works more smoothly and so that there’s an option to input our own foods.
Developer Response
Barcode scanning and custom foods are now here! I'm sorry that you had those issues with my app. There have been many improvements in the app recently. I've added custom food entry, barcode scanning, and greatly improved food search in general. One reason that the food database may be missing foods that you expect to find is that I only use the highly detailed and accurate USDA food database. Other food databases will brag about the enormous number of foods available, but they don't have the micronutrient detail that I wanted to include in my app.
What a cool app!

It was easy to figure out! Input a food, it will input your nutrients, click on any nutrient box, click on the “i” circle and it gives you the recommended amounts by age so you can compare consumed to still needed. Mcg and Ug are the same so there is no need to calculate. 1Mcg=1Ug. This is great for people who are trying to get the right nutrients into their diet, specifically for me trying to strengthen my thyroid through Iodine, Selenium, Zinc, and Iron balances. Thank you Jason whoever you may be.
Love it! Features I'd like to see
Kathrynnn G
I love this app, very user friendly and thorough! A few features I'd like to see are:Adding food manually with nutrient facts that doesn't come up in the search. Example: premier protein shake. It doesn't come up, but I could enter the nutrition facts from the bottle and keep it under "my meals"Adding info about the "normal/average" amount of the nutrients for individual gender, age, and size. And also about what the nutrient is and what it does. Example: what is ash? How much is too much or too little? Is it harmful or helpful?Thanks! I hope this is helpful!
• Nutrient Logger is now 100% ad-free
