This app is really cool! It’s layout is really simple, so it’s easy to use. It has a list of plants in alphabetical order with info on when to plant, what type of soil, and amount of sunlight it needs. It also has a calendar of when to start planting indoor and outdoor. Lots of other awesome features to this app, but I’ll let you check them out for yourself. I will definitely be using this app for my garden planning this year!

I’m actually a little disappointed with this app because it lacks several (what I feel are) basic features/abilities. I am a paid, Premium user. The veggie database is very top-level and generic and, to my knowledge, there’s no way to update/amend previous Journal entries, for example. Instead, you have to create a new one each time. Some measurements and quantities can only be entered one way. I was hoping this would be more customizable, since gardens are so personal. Not a bad app for novice gardeners, but more experienced folks might want to keep shopping.

• Rebuilt plant pages — nutrition breakdown, soil pH and temperature gauges, a season wheel, a watering plan, and each plant's own timeline
• Real support for perennials — fruit trees, bushes and perennial herbs get establishment years and cropping windows, plus a pruning and feeding calendar covering 250+ plants
• Set your own frost dates, with a reminder a month ahead to check them
• Second sowings — see whether there's still time to sow a crop again, and when it would be ready
• Choose your units: °F or °C, feet and inches or meters and centimeters
• Watering follows each plant's real time in the ground, so nothing shows as thirsty out of season
