PSWD is a comprehensive strong password generator for Mac, iPhone and iPad.

Works fast, very EASY, and quick access on the menu bar. No clutter, frills, ads, or data collection. Good privacy and security. Works with Dark Mode. Nice to have a PW solution for sites/apps that are picky or don't save automatically. My favorite feature? From ANY app there is a keyboard shortcut that will generate a secure password and then can be CTRL-V (pasted) right into the field. Super convenient! Nice to see a free app of such high quality. The in-app purchases are a donation to the developer which was well earned. Thanks!

My GOTO Password on all Apple Devices

I keep this one handy. If a Safari does not generate a password then I just generate, copy, paste and I'm done!. Then I goto Safari>Settings>Passwords to create a new saved login, paste the password, and now I'm supper done! I think Apple should take this and make it a part of the OS as not all websites are configured so that the browers recognize all the information needed to save the info in Keychain. Make passwords easy to make and save! Until then I keep this workflow and app!!!

This app is great. You are in control of how your password is generated. If it would be one suggestion for improvement it would be to allow user to eliminate any given special character. Some sites do not allow certain characters and ‘it’ invariably shows up in the password. This encourages the user to substitute something for the character in the password rendering it no longer ‘random’.

One of the handiest apps I have. How many times do you have a site (particularly federal government sites) that specifies a certain number of various categories of caps, lower case, numbers, special characters, symbols, etc. This app has you covered, it asks the for length of the string you want and the number of characters in each category. You click “generate” and it gives you random string that meets the criteria.
PSWD 5.2 brings word passphrases to nine languages, adds custom word lists, and lets you strip accented letters when a site won't take them.
• Word passphrases now come in nine languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Chinese, and a hand-crafted Turkish list
• Combine several languages at once for a larger word pool and higher entropy
• Import your own word list and build passphrases from it — synced across your devices through iCloud
• New "Remove diacritics" option turns letters like ç, ğ and ş into plain ASCII for sites that reject them
• Mac: choose your menu bar icon — a compact set of dots, or the original outlined style
The dictionary you pick is saved with each preset, so different passwords can draw from different languages.
