Landscape paintings are often not about a specific landscape, but about a journey across time and space filled with the concentrated imagery of an artist's feelings. 'My Dreamworld AR ' APP combines virtual and augmented reality technology, allowing the viewer to take a 360° tour of selected spots in Hong Kong. You can capture the beautiful scenery from them like an artist and create a painting of the travel experience using them. You can also choose canvases varying from a hanging scroll to a handscroll to unleash your imagination on this creative platform of traditional Chinese painting. Your creation can then be displayed in the living environment through augmented reality technology.
The 'My Dreamworld AR ' APP, funded by the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, is "The Jockey Club 'How Memory Sticks 2.0' Arts Tech and Culture Education Programme" interactive application curated by the Design and Cultural Studies Workshop.
