SCAN A PAINT LABEL Point your camera at a paint can or choose a label photo. On-device text recognition reads the manufacturer, color name, and code, then lets you confirm the catalog identity before comparing it. SHORTLIST FROM A PHOTO Photograph a painted surface, select a clean sample area, and optionally calibrate with a known paint chip or gray card. The app returns an honest confidence-banded shortlist instead of claiming a camera can make an exact measurement. It doesn’t use the camera, so you have to figure out what color it is yourself. And it doesn’t provide a lot of color options. Do not buy this app.
