The Apple Music player that wraps your music in a spinning vinyl record you can touch. Interactive. Nostalgic. Beautiful.
Vinyls turns your Apple Music library into spinning vinyl records. Watch the tone arm drop onto the groove. Hear the warm crackle of analog. Drag your finger across the disc to scrub through any song — just like spinning a real record.
THE FEELING OF VINYL
There's a reason vinyl never went away. The ritual of choosing a record. The warmth of analog sound. The artwork at full size. The satisfaction of hearing that first crackle as the tone arm finds the groove.
Vinyls captures that feeling in digital form — the tone arm tracking across the record in real time, your album art pressed onto the disc, your cover displayed full-size in its sleeve. Not a tiny thumbnail. The complete cover, alive with colour and detail. Nostalgic, tactile, and entirely yours to customise.
THE VINYL RECORD YOU CAN TOUCH
Most music players give you a progress bar. Vinyls gives you a spinning record.
Swipe up from the vinyl to browse your full library. Swipe down to dismiss. Drag your finger across the disc to hear a realistic scratch sound. Feel every needle drop with haptic feedback — a subtle vibration as the tone arm touches down and as you scrub through the track. Your music, made physical.
A LIVING RECORD
Albums you haven't played in a while gather cobwebs and dust on the sleeve — just like a forgotten record in a crate. Shake your phone or tap the sleeve to clear them and spin the record again.
MAKE IT YOURS
Your record collection should look like yours. Choose from 12 accent colours or pick any shade from the full spectrum. Select from a range of alternative app icons. Full dark mode with a near-black background that makes cover art glow.
Turn on vibrant backgrounds and the colours from your album art wash across the entire app — behind the vinyl, through the library, and into the controls themselves. The whole interface shifts with every record you play.

I want to say I absolutely loved this app. Getting the nostalgia of using records for your Apple Music library was so fun. Loved using this on my iPad to have connected to my stereo to give a vibe for hanging out at the house. Now, fast forward to today when I come to learn that the features I was using I have to now pay for? Either annually or a lifetime for $50? I get being a business and more money means more development of more apps. Just feels like a lot to access and play music I already pay a service for. It be better just to charge for the download of the app. I can see paying $5 to unlock “pro features” if you already had the app downloaded and wanted more. This app went from fully functional to asking for money for features that were already being used so it just felt off. I just personally see the benefit of the money options you’re currently offering. I wish you al the best in this. I’ll miss this app.
One Issue, Two Suggestions

Love this app! One issue I am having is that when I open other apps and leave this one running and then return to this app, the track currently playing is restarted at the beginning.First suggestion- would like to sort the initial list by artist and then by album (by release date).Second suggestion- I kinda like being able to turn on the vinyl noise but it’s quite loud and would like to be able to set the volume level of that noise.THANKS!

Was good before the paywall

This app used to be a really good one and one that I used often it had very fun and customizable options like crackle and pop and cobwebs on albums that you haven’t listened to in a while. Those would be really good features and they were… before they were all locked behind a paywall. The lowest option is only 3.99 but still! If you had the app before and changed the settings before the paywall hit all of those setting are permanent until you bypass the paywall. And I don’t just mean a one time payment. It’s a subscription. With the lifetime (only one time payment option) it’s 40 dollars. And this would probably be fine, if it wasn’t for the 4.99 I already payed for the app. So overall good app with terrible execution.
Suggestion for improvements

Like the app. This has too many fun and interesting features to talk about here, but overall this is an impressive take on the congested space of music playing apps. Just wanted to suggest a few updates. I noticed a bug where the app crashes when I view an artist with music not categorized into album(s). I have several such in my library and the app has consistently crashed when I show such an artist. Also, I cannot play the library of music associated with one artist unless it is collected into an album, or I play it one song at a time. This appears to be a deficiency of the app. That artist’s page just shows ‘nothing to see here’. This should be a feature included soon. Thanks!
