Wish it had "select all" button on pc

I transferred 27 thousand photos onto the app over 3 days to swap phones for one with lower memory that could not hold the photos. It is slow uploading and downloading but does work, so I can't complain too much. My photos are all there. The thumbnails are sometimes very slow to load in the app on my new phone. But i am happy with it overall. I wish they would put a "select all" button on the pc app so i would transfer them all to my pc. I want multiple layers of security for my photos that way. But on the pc app you can only download one at a time. It doesn't matter to me if it takes 5 days for my pc to download the 27 thousand photos it would just be nice to do select all and hit download and then leave it alone to work.

Removes photos when deleted from phone

I don’t like the fact that it doesn’t have a leave my backup even if I deleted photos on my phone. At least I can’t find that feature. I want to transfer my photos to a secure back up and remove them from my phone.
That’s what I didn’t like about google photos.

What's the point of a backup when restore doesn't work?

The backup itself doesn't work consistently. The restore feature doesn't work at all. It only downloads part of the photos, but does not tell you which part. I spent days trying to fix this. Customer support was useless and oblivious. Just repeating unhelpful things like "it's a mobile app so you can't restore it on a desktop" without providing any help for why I couldn't restore it on the mobile, either. The other option finally offered was to login to the website on a desktop and download 22,000 photos ONE AT A TIME. Avoid this app to save your money, time and frustration.
