October Changes: New features in PDF export Symbols on Color can be pale or full color Row/Col numbers are optional Split pages measure 60 * 80, (or if you choose landscape format, 80 * 60) A grey overlap of 3 stitches can be applied 'Split large PDFs' now treats anything larger than 60 x 60 as a large PDF Screen grid colors are now also used for PDF grid colors Screen: Tweaked the colors of grid line choices and added a new mid gray PDF and screen use slightly more prominent grid lines Added an option to archive old files to free up storage space Old zip files and PDFs will now be automatically deleted when mobistitch starts up, to free up disc space (Users who have been with us for years may have built up a very large number of redundant files)

Added an option to archive old files to free up storage space Old zip files and PDFs will now be automatically deleted when mobistitch starts to free up disc space (Users who have been with us for years may have built up a very large number of redundant files) 'Split large PDFs' now treats anything larger than 60 x 60 as a large PDF Screen grid colors are now also used for PDF grid colors Added a darker gray gridline color to the available choices

Added the ability to use a copied area or saved clip to perform a 'flood fill'.. so instead of filling in a solid color, you might fill an area with a pattern. To use that, copy an area or open a saved clip, then tap the Paste icon. Then tap the flood fill (paint can) icon to enter fill mode.

Added the ability to load or replace an underlay image under the grid. The underlay image will stretch to occupy the whole of the chart area. Changes made to preserve drawing order of backstitch lines Backstitches now have round ends and are outlined so that you can see which lines are on top. Long Press = Erase feature now only works when drawing full stitches, as it was triggering for backstitch and rectangles (which take a while)

Search on the thread list was always selecting from DMC threads Some half stitches did not show up in stitched view

Eyedropper can now select cloth to facilitate erasing Tweaks to backstitch to prevent unexpected 'long' stitches (due to touching screen with palm) Added a button to display chart comments/notes into the settings tab DMC thread list can be in number or card order (a new setting exists for this) Palettes can be saved with unique names, and loaded again later (into an empty chart) When installing first time, card order is an option for the default. The settings tab has an option to change default thread , and that now includes DMC card order. When editing a thread, the thread list should now scroll to the selected thread if it exists in the default list. The nudge buttons near the navigator window are now larger. PDF settings, Notes, Palette selection are now popup modal screens.

Added preference for number of undos. Default is 10, max is now 25 , if you have enough memory Added a preference (Show markup while drawing) so that you can choose whether markup is shown while drawing Added a preference (Drawing erases markup) so that you can choose whether drawing over a marked area removes the markup Added new 'page jump' buttons next to the navigator Recently used colors sometimes failed to show the symbol Removed a spurious message about image size Added a new 'thick' backstitch style

Increased the number of undo levels available. ( a preference setting lets you control this - if using a high number causes an issue, you can lower the number manually) Added a preference setting (Show markup while drawing) to control whether markup remains visible while you are drawing. Added a preference setting (Drawing erases markup) to control whether drawing new stitches over a marked-up area , will unmark that area.

Will now only prompt to save default palette if there are no stitches in the chart. No longer displays 'save complete' message after a save, but will report a failure to save.

The Export to PDF screen now allows you to have up to 3 different styles in one PDF. The preview image used to be simple color blocks, but is now the stitched view instead. Small UI changes

Fixes a number of issues with saving Motifs If you rename the cloth, it will be remembered when next opening The app would autosave every time it was deactivated if the chart was unsaved. Now it will only autosave if the app is closed, so that it does not interfere with the use in Split Screen mode. (We dont recommend using Mobistitch in split screen on 11 inch iPads. Better to use 'the other app' in Slide Over mode)

The recently added "Long press to select erase" wasn't working on some devices / pencils, (although it did work with fingers) Was also conflicting with 'hard press to draw in thicker strokes' for people with pressure sensitive pencils. Now changed so that a long press of more than half a second *in the same spot* will select erase when pointer is raised. Chart size now added at bottom right of screen. (Version moved to top left) Changed the way blends are shown in the recenly used color blobs. Changed the files tab so that creating a PDF now launches a popup window for PDF options. This saves space and allows you to see more saved files , especially on 11inch devices Ruler on left wasn't refreshing with the one on the right.

(App Version moved to top left) Changed the way blends are shown in the recently used color blobs. Changed the files tab so that creating a PDF is now done by tapping a button, which launches a popup window for PDF options. This saves a lot of space and so allows you to see more saved files , especially on 11inch devices. An extra vertical ruler is now on the left of the main grid when in landscape mode. (This is to assist a few customers for whom the usual one on the right is obscured when the iPad is in large text mode)

Stitched View drawing time reduced by 60% Zoom slider has been replaced by a set of buttons. This will make zooming in and out much faster, (as it will no longer try to draw everything at all sizes between old and new sizes.) Any underlay image (if present) will appear in faded form behind the black symbol view. (This can be hidden or shown using the checkbox under the grid.) Backstitch types now appear in a popup menu - clicking on the backstitch button shows the menu and allows you to choose a style. While this now involves two taps instead of one, it simplifies the toolbar and allows room for possible future options. The Name and Number of a thread can be changed for the selected color, by tapping the gear icon in the palette. This allows you to add unusual/custom colors to your design - choose a similar color, and rename it to whatever you like. In the same screen:- Strands can now be set for each color- the default is 2 Backstitch strands can now be set independently from the strands for normal stitches. Backstitch can be allocated a different color to the 'real' color so that it stands out more clearly. For example, white backstitch can be shown as red in a chart (All done on the 'edit thread' screen accessed by tapping the gear icon in a palette.) Moved the 'grid visible' checkbox to the design screen so that the grid can be flicked on and off with ease PDF Export - the key now includes strands, and (where backstitch has been used), the backstitch strands and color Reduced the amount of repainting done while selecting an area

FIX: Sharing PDF using button not working for some people. FIX: Palette was reverting to 1st color after some actions. FIX: Toolbar was reverting to cross stitch after Undo NEW: Ability to save a selected area as a Clip for later. NEW: Clip list showing saved clips for re-use. (Recreates the Motif functionality of MacStitch) NEW: Left swipe on a saved clip to paste using the current color only (recreates speciality stitch functionality of MacStitch) NEW: Installs a small set of sample motifs into the clips area if they do not exist, including NEW: Some backstitch letters are present as clips - you can copy from these to make words NEW: Added a setting which enables 'long press selects ERASE mode' CHANGE: The 'current color' bar is wider NEW: Sharing an OXS file to Files or Email will now send a Zip file instead of the original OXS file. This avoids issues with some browsers and email clients which treat XML content incorrectly.

Fixes bug where pasting after copying from another chart, could mess up the colors.

Choosing 'erase'/ cloth color while pasting a selection could result in having both main and motif toolbars showing at the same time.

Using the shift buttons to move a selection to the right or down did not work beyond position 40

Fixes bug : when selecting 'cloth' to erase, the app could switch to Full Cross mode, making it hard to erase any other kind of stitch Fixes bug : The 'Browse iCloud' button now works again.

Increased color count - maximum 150 colors in any chart , maximum 120 colors when importing. (increased from 70 in previous version)

Fixes a bug saving blended colors. Added information about font and symbol used into the OXS file format.

Expanded the range of symbols available in symbol sets 2,3 & 4 from a choice of 74 to now 200 in each AS A RESULT - we increased the number of possible colors in any one chart to 100. (If you use more than 72, original symbol set #1 becomes unavailable because it is limited to 72 shapes) OXS files now remember which symbol set was used when designing, so that it is selected when the chart is opened. Other changes: Adding a color now updates the recently used colors. Symbol selection now uses a grey background to show 'used symbol' instead of blue color, which was hard to see on thin symbols. Symbol of current color now shows in green.

Reverted a change when saving OXS relating to tent stitches. (One 3rd party app was unable to read - now they can) Fixed an issue where removing ALL colors meant that no new colors could be added. Increased the 'recent color' panels to show 4 items, now including the current one. The recent colors will normally be in usage order, unless you reuse one which is already shown, in which case no change occurs. Changed the recent color panels to show the symbol as well as color and number ('DMC'/'ANC' etc are now omitted to make space)

Added 'inbetween' stitch - will add a stitch if drawing quickly leaves a gap between two stitches. There is a setting (Dropped Stitches) to turn this off if you wish Added new feature 'Replace Cloth by Color' - this turns any area which is cloth into stitches of the current color, while respecting a selected area if one is in effect. Tent stitches now save as object of type"tent' inside the OXS file, instead of a 'partialstitch' Users should see no difference, - this matches the alternative format introduced by CSP, and so resolves issues with the 'MyCozyApp' Added 'recently used colors' bar to the palette areas - this shows the last 3 used colors, so that you can go back to a previous selection without hunting through the palette.
