This app is a godsend. I didn’t even think wholesome women & lgbtq+ only spaces like this existed. The community you have fostered on this app is so amazing and it’s seriously the support I feel like I needed after seeing most mainstream social media apps getting infiltrated with hateful trolls and negativity all the time.Everything about the app is great, the posts, the display, and it’s super user friendly. My only criticism is that it’s very laggy and slow, sometimes quits randomly whenever I try to access my journal at the bottom, and I generally just think the transitions switching between different pages could be smoother. Other than technical criticisms, I love this app!Also as a suggestion, I’m a huge nerd for fandoms like books, TV shows, video games, or even hobbies like art, crafts, cooking, handy work but I don’t find a lot of people to talk about these things with and I think Communia would be a great place to connect with other people about your interests! It would be cool to create a section of posts just like you have #MeToo or work & money but dedicated to interests and hobbies and utilize hashtags to search for them!

A few years ago I realized that posting about my life on Instagram was doing so much more harm than good. I was so focused on posting for likes instead of authenticity that I started to obsess over my grid, my captions, my engagement. On days when I really needed support or advice or to share an experience, I realized how little the IG experience was helping ME as it was helping IG. Most social networks these days are not communities. They’re two-way mirrors with a loudspeaker on both sides. Communia actually feels like a community. It feels safe to post about anything. It feels safe to be who you are. There are no pre-requisites to your thinking before posting: Will this get a lot of likes? Will people comment? Will people cancel me? Instead, it’s a one-way mirror where you’re looking at yourself, but there’s a whole community behind you.

Okay where do I even begin? The app is so organized into different topics and so you can choose what you wanna see, everyone on the app is so friendly and helpful and supportive, and it’s truly a great time to be away from men on an app and just be able to post my issues and ask for advice without judgment. It’s truly a much calmer better version of twitter and I’ve used it more then my twitter since I got it. Also, the ceo and other people who work on the app are so kind. Ofc an app isn’t going to be perfect right away but it’s extremely close to it and the people who work on the app are very open to hearing your suggestions on how to improve!! I recommend this to everyone

This is the first social platform that I’ve ever been on that hasn’t made me feel threatened, intimidated, or discouraged by hateful, negative or inflammatory comments whether directed toward me or others or just out into the world. Communia is a place where you can actually speak your mind, find like-minded people, get support and helpful feedback and most importantly feel vibes of friendship, love, respect and positivity. This is a genuine and sincere utopian space on the internet where people can make authentic connections without fear of being judged or attacked. The best part? Its community-driven! Content is created, delivered, posted and seen by real users. No AI, no bots, no algorithms. Just *real connections. I love it there.
