Parts allocations should be integrated with Zeus ordering app/work orders

There’s no reason to have a whole other app, and manually input part info, for parts allocations. We are a couple of weeks away from 2025. Developers need to get back to the drawing board and come up with something better, because this isn’t the way, it should be, in modern days. This app is the equivalent, to you jotting down, what parts you have and where they’re located, on a piece of paper. Additionally, it makes you waste time going through all of your parts, a second time, when it’s not in their system. This is time wasted when I can write it down, on a paper myself, and avoid inputting the part a second time. With all respect, do better. Listen to other ideas please. Thanks for the attempt. Keep on trying, you got this

Why do technicians have to spend accumulative hours trying to find items that are listed in Zeus Ordering but do not populate in this app? Even the ‘Item Not Listed’ does not always work, especially when Zeus finally finds the item after selecting ‘Item Not Listed’ and you select ‘Adjust Quantity’ and gives you a success message, it does not update to your inventory. Contact help you say?… Well after multiple emails to their direct contact support email over the last few months, I have received ZERO replies. No wonder why other technicians do not even try to inventory their items because of the waste of time it takes to attempt it.Recommendations: Get people in the software development who knows how to create quality search engines that reflects what technicians are typing into the search bar, and to fix all the other common complaints.

The struggle of the parts game is that from placing an order, to the point of install it adds no value. This requires people and time. Find the right people and turn this entire Zeus system over to the AI, have it available to me through my earbuds to do everything from the search to tracking shipping. You can’t afford not to.

Be ready for frustration

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. Can’t even adjust manual inventory over half of the time, and because of that I can’t order what I need because SDI thinks I have it on my van & I can’t order without taking it out of materials managment… 0 part of this app is user friendly. I don’t see how a group of people sat down in a meeting and said “Yep. This is ready for launch. Roll it out.” Efficiency score 0User friendly score 0 Usefulness score 0

o The MM App will now automatically convert the UOM of items that come in packages our groups into individual amounts. For example, adding a cylinder of refrigerant will convert to X ounces of refrigerant. This allows technicians to accurately allocate the correct quantities to work orders. Items that have a UOM conversion are now clearly marked with the purchase UOM as well as the converted UOM. o Inventory items that have zero quantity on hand and zero on order can now be removed from your inventory by clicking the delete icon. Removed inventory can be added back by following the add inventory or order inventory processes. o Technicians can now manage their inventory using the Materials Management tile in Zeus Ordering Web. Technicians can only view and act on their own inventory at this time.
