The EMDR app puts you in full control of visual, audio, and haptic bilateral stimulation. Turn game controllers and Joy-Cons into tappers, position sound precisely in stereo, and fine-tune vibration intensity. Sync across your Apple devices or broadcast to compatible web browsers with EMDR Connect. Full VoiceOver and Assistive Access support is built in.
STIMULATION YOUR WAY
Tailor every session to your needs:
• Set your pace with presets or fine-tune it with a slider.
• Use auto-stop so you never have to count along.
• Choose from a wide range of sounds, animations, and vibrations.
• Hear the count spoken aloud in 21 languages.
• Position stereo sound to the left, right, or center.
• Fine-tune vibration intensity, automatically adapted to each device.
• Personalize colors, patterns, and more.
WORKS ACROSS YOUR DEVICES
Connect iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, Apple Watch, Apple Vision Pro, Joy-Cons, and game controllers. Alternate flashes or vibrations between devices, or use one as a remote control for another. No specialized tapper hardware is needed. The devices you already own do the work.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account is needed. Shared names are encrypted. Our privacy policy explains what data EMDR Connect processes and how long it is retained.

• Start stimulation from Control Center, the Lock Screen, or the Action button.
• Ask Siri, or automate your setup with Shortcuts.
• Control playback from your headphones or a widget, even in the background.

I love this app but was hoping I could run it with the screen locked or in the background while I view other apps. I like the sound of the beep at a set speed going off in each ear. It's soothing I guess for a lack of a better word as a secondary purpose for this app. A little strange but a feature Id like.

Can’t figure out app without subscription
wildernessfamily78
Can’t even try the app or figure out what the apps about without giving it your credit card in signing up for a free and I do the rabbit quotes around free subscription for seven days where if you don’t remember to go in and cancel your subscription, then it automatically charges you and half the time I can’t even remember where to go to find where my subscriptions are to cancel. I don’t understand these developers, I am a flutter developer and I don’t do this to my client. If you like my app you’re gonna pay for it and buy it. If you don’t, you’re not going to and it just makes it a hassle in the long run for me anyways when I get a review from Apple so it’s just better to let the client actually see what the app is about and then if they like it in 30 days no pay for it it’s not that difficult. It’s basic common sense.
Limited speed adjustment… (edited)
dziobak101
As an EMDR therapist, the fact that there are only 3 speed options makes this app unusable. Everything else about it seems great, but you have to let me control the speed.(Edit) The developer contacted me, listened thoughtfully to my suggestions, and seems very serious about making this an excellent app. He also is making it available free for traumatized folks in the Ukraine, which I think is wonderful! I look forward to supporting his endeavor in the future and trust that this app will be a great tool for therapists doing trauma work remotely.

Great EMDR tool. Adjustable with controller support.
Medic-273
This is a great EMDR tool. I can adjust tone, rate, and visual cues. With controller support I use a pair of Nintendo Joy-Cons as my bilateral ‘buzzers’ and control the start/stop of cues. This has helped me practice without distractions. I use a small tabletop tripod to hold my phone horizontally for visual cues and use the controllers as my buzzers and a pair of headphones for my audio cues. Truly 5 stars and worth it to have an affordable at home/travel solution to EMDR.
EMDR 2.5 introduces layouts optimized for iPhone Duo, Picture in Picture, new widget options, and better support for larger text.
OPTIMIZED FOR IPHONE DUO
• When iPhone Duo is in the seated pose, controls appear on the bottom half of the display while visual stimulation plays on the top half.
• Improved layouts for book mode and other configurations.
PICTURE IN PICTURE
Keep stimulation in view in a floating window when you switch to another app during a session.
IMPROVED WIDGETS
• Adjust session settings from your widgets with an interactive widget control panel.
• Add the new extra-large widget to your iPhone's Home Screen.
BETTER SUPPORT FOR LARGER TEXT
Controls and layouts adapt better to larger text sizes and smaller screens, making the app easier to use.
ADJUST SOUND VOLUME IN EMDR CONNECT
Turn down or mute the stereo sounds on your own device during an EMDR Connect session. Sound on other participants’ devices stays unchanged.
