I’ve been following this group since it was an IG page and could not be happier with the app. They are constantly making improvements are communicating with customers which makes it feel so personal. I have personally bought tickets to multiple high selling shows exclusively using this app. They allow for price point notifications whenever someone posts for a show you are interested in allowing for a quick and easy purchase. I love that this is an app for people who love theater who are just trying to buy/sell at the prices they got them at (or less!) and share extra tickets. It feels like a real community and I love love love buying from Theatr.

They randomly restricted my account even though I haven’t bought or sold any tickets on the app in 8 months. I appealed it and asked why, but they wouldn’t tell me why and said they won’t approve my appeal unless I provide more information. But how can I provide more information if they won’t tell me what I need to provide information of and what I did wrong to get my account restricted. I have a feeling that the person who has been stalking and harassing me reported me and had her friends report me for no reason based on the timing, but they won’t confirm what the issue was that got my account flagged so I can’t even defend myself when I did nothing wrong. I always provide proof of purchase and it seems they allow anyone to just report people without any cause and then just suspend your account based on the number of reports but if it’s the same stalker reporting and having her friends report to harass someone they don’t even care. This is very unacceptable customer service to allow people to be stalled and harassed plus they charge very high fees on all ticket purchases. They also are rated F on the Better Business Bureau website.

As an avid theatre goer who bus tickets well in advance this app has helped me sell my tickets to others on two occasions when something came up that prevented me from using tickets I’d purchased. I love that price-gouging doesn’t happen and feel happy to know that my tickets are going to someone who will enjoy them rather than leaving an empty seat at the show.The interface is very user friendly and I love that the buyers now pay via the app to help weed out any potential scammers or ticket withholdings.
