Collx the app, collx as a team and as a company, even saying Collx as a community, it is all, we are all, the best thing that is happening in the hobby. I have done so much on the app and learned so much. I met a lot of great people. I’ve sold many many cards. Some were extremely valuable. I’ve been with collx for about 6-7 months and even though I was invited at month 3 to join the ambassadors program I held back after reading the requirements for joining because I didn’t meet them all. Now I do, but i have another issue. My iPhone broke and I had no insurance on it and now I have an older model. One that cannot be sofware updated past a certain amount. And this new update for the app requires the iOS to be further updated than my phone allows. Very very discouraged. It would have probably been a little bit better if you guys had said something like this was coming. So users who are at this point locked out of the app and can’t even access the funds available to go buy another phone, one that works with the new app version, would have been nice to receive a heads up.

Promising but lots of bugs

I don’t do any buying or selling, just use the app to catalog my player and vintage collections so when I go to card shows I know what I already own. It works great for that but I have a few issues. One is that the app constantly incorrectly identifies cards. I get that modern cards have a crazy amount of variations, but I can scan a base card and it thinks it’s a rare variant, which then makes cataloging take much longer when I have to manually change almost every card I scan. I especially find it frustrating when scanning vintage baseball cards. For example I scanned a 1959 Topps Willie Mays, front and back of card, and the app thought it was a reprint from 1994. This happens very regularly and I’m not sure why. The next issue I came across was that I wanted to retake some of my photos with better lighting. I hit edit on a card and chose retake photos and updated them. Did this on a bunch of cards and then came to find all the old photos were back. Kept trying to replace again and taking yet again new photos, and same thing happened. Only thing to solve the issue was to delete the card from my collection and add it fresh again, but because of the above issue with the app not choosing the right card, I have to manually correct it. This becomes extremely frustrating cause the app is great in concept but several issues keep it from being a go to and I will need to rethink subscribing to the pro tier until these issues can be ironed out.

***update 6 months later. I’ve sold a significant amount of cards after they fixed some of the bugs. I’ve been trying to withdraw my money to pay some bills. I was informed my tax info was missing since it’s an amount that puts me above taxable income (which is fine). I already updated my info and still unable to withdraw the money. Support won’t say how long until a fix and refuses to refund me for fees pertaining to the sales of the withdrawal amount or past/future CollX credits. Unfortunately support has caused me to drop my previous rating down to 1 star. They’re keeping my money and have no way to manually complete the transaction. Horrible service! **Update weeks later. Still multiple bugs and even worse service. Won’t refund portions of my subscription even though the app isn’t working as advertised. I’ll be escalating with Apple.**I’ve had this app for about 3 months now and use it daily to organize and sell my collection. This app has so many bugs and there is no urgency to fix them. Entire parts of my collection were missing for a week. It’s only been partially fixed. Checklists won’t populate. When I ask for a credit for my monthly fee they completely ignore it and just talk about the wonderful features of their app. Pro support doesn’t do anything but tell you to contact an email address that you’ll need to wait a couple days to hear back from. Don’t think I’ll be renewing my subscription next year.

Dover83, I’m really sorry—especially about being unable to withdraw after submitting tax info. Withdrawals run through Stripe and can be blocked while tax verification finishes. Please check Settings → My Money to confirm tax status is “verified,” and that your bank is linked (min $10 to withdraw; $2 fee). For the stuck withdrawal, please email support@collx.app with your CollX email + the withdrawal amount/date (and any Order ID tied to it) so we can look up the exact hold and get you a timeline. On the Pro refund/subscription: Apple controls subscription billing/refunds, so escalating to Apple is the right path there. We’re also continuing to fix the collection/checklist bugs you hit—thank you for sticking with it.

This app is AMAZING. If you are looking for a place online to store your cards, this is the place to do it. Compared to most other apps, this app is much more reliable. I will continue to use this app; however, there are a few issues that need to be addressed… 1. IMAGES AND CARD DESCRIPTION: The scanning feature works great with older cards; I had almost no problems with over a thousand NBA Basketball cards from the early 1990s. On the other hand, when I scan the newer cards (e.g., Kyle Pitts 210, 2021 PANINI) the app rarely recognizes them. On the few occasions that it does recognize the card (e.g., Josh Allen MAG-19, 2021 PANINI, pink), there is no image of the card, nor the description of the variation (note that it does describe variations on older cards). Thus, I do not want there to be a chance of inaccurate data within my collection. 2. CARD PRICES: The addition of seeing the average card price based off of eBay sales is phenomenal, but half the time it is very inaccurate. There are two main factors attributing to this: eBay (not the most practical) and lack of updates on recent and all-time eBay sales of a specific card. I would pay a one-time payment of ten dollars for them to fix this, preferably by using a more professional site or two merging within that vicinity. 3. NO CANCELLATION BUTTON FOR CARDS THAT ARE IN THE PROCESS OF BEING SCANNED OR HAVE YET TO BE SCANNED: I found a simple solution of just closing the app tab and opening it back up… but it deletes all the cards that were being scanned. A button would help out a lot, especially when you mess up on a photo of one of your cards. There are a couple other minor issues, but these one’s need to be fixed!

• More Stack Actions: Quickly add more cards or edit stack info directly from your stack via the action sheet menu
• Blocking Now Covers Deal Updates: Blocking someone now applies to deal updates too, so a blocked member can't reach you by revising an older offer.
• Improved Sign Up and Sign In: A streamlined sign up path and an obvious distinction between creating an account and signing back in, so returning collectors always know where they are.
Bug Fixes:
• No Gold Prompts for Gold Members: Members with an active Gold subscription no longer see the Gold upgrade screen, including right after listing a card for sale.
• Messaging Preferences Are Now Respected Everywhere: If someone has messaging turned off or limited to followers, the message option is hidden across the app — including from card listings and card details — so your preferences hold no matter where a conversation starts.
• Fixed Pricing Bottom Sheet: The pricing bottom sheet has been reworked so pricing your cards feels quick and natural again.
• Improved App Launch from Deeplinks: Opening a CollX link now takes you straight to the card, collection, or profile it points to, even when the app is fully closed.
