Love the concept, but wish it would upload faster

I mostly can only review videos after we have finished a visit because the upload speeds are so slow. I like it for rechecks and when I have the luxury to do a lameness exam separately from my treatment, but it’s frustrating to use in real time, especially for farm calls in rural areas. I really like the analysis videos showing slow motion side by side with each graph point, the color coding on the legs, and mini colored bar graphs to show clients. It also seems to have a very good algorithm for recognizing when the horse is not trotting appropriately, so I don’t have to redo a lot of videos

We also recommend that you check which mobile carriers are best for your region. In cases of rural visits, users have told us that satellite Wi-Fi hotspots function particularly well for uploading.

Analysis is great, user interface is challenging

Love the analysis, getting the analysis requires incredible patience unless you have someone to video for you and/or double the amount of time you plan for. Since most horse people are busy, often short handed, seems like a lot could be done to improve the interface to be more efficient (for example being able to record outside of the app; being able to use a remote control to trigger recording if you’re solo using a tripod etc.). If this app were less expensive my expectations would be lower, but for $200 a month it’s hard to swallow being this annoyed.

A better Sleip: refreshed design, smoother navigation and new tools for everyday work. All your horses, recordings and analyses are still there. What’s new: - New home screen with your recent analyses and user guides, plus a redesigned settings area with a profile image - Find horses faster: filter by date or your own tags, search by name, owner or ID, and merge duplicate horse profiles - Add notes, flexion, diagnostic analgesia, surface and more before or after recording, and switch horse or recording type without leaving the camera view - Flexion test analysis (Sleip Pro Vet): label flexion tests and compare them with a baseline from the same session - On-device analysis: process recordings on your phone when your connection is slow (iPhone 16 or later recommended; rolling out gradually) - Share horses with other Sleip Pro Vet or Pro users to collaborate, in addition to sharing results as a link or PDF - Option to turn off asymmetry colours, plus values on the mean asymmetry bars and a new interval view showing confidence ranges - Move a recording to a different horse, with videos and details now organised in separate tabs
