• On This Day in the morning: when an earlier year has an entry for today, a note at 9:00 brings it back. • Smarter reminders: the daily reminder stays quiet once today's entry is written, and an optional streak reminder comes two hours later while the day is still unwritten. • "Add to Journal Today" with Siri and Shortcuts: say what happened and it becomes an entry, without opening the app. • Your Year: a new page in Insights with your moods as a year of pixels or as a calendar, the year in review, and a menu of earlier years. • Templates in the editor: three good things, gratitude, a daily reflection, a morning intention, and your own. • Import from Daylio (or any CSV with a date and a text column), moods and activities included. • A "New entry" button for Control Center and on the medium streak widget. (iOS 18 and later)

• Journaling Suggestions: tap the sparkles button in the editor to add the day's photos, places, workouts, music and people from Apple's suggestions. (iOS 17.2 and later) • Voice entries: tap the microphone, talk, and your words become text. The transcription happens on your device only; the recording stays with the entry. • Trends: Insights now shows your mood over the last twelve months and the days you wrote each month. • Year in review: a card with your year in numbers, ready to share. • Writing prompts: a new question each day when the page is empty, and a lightbulb for more. • iPad: the iPadOS sidebar layout, with your entries beside the list. • Photos: the system picker, so the app no longer needs access to your whole library. • Fixes: the theme colour's check mark in dark mode, a flash when opening an entry, and the rating prompt appearing over the upgrade page.

• Search: tap the magnifying glass on Today to find any entry by its words or tags. • Favorites: tap the heart on an entry to keep it close. Insights lists them all. • Trash: deleted entries now wait in Settings > Data > Trash, where you can restore them or delete them for good. • Dark mode: text written in light mode is readable in dark mode again, and the other way round. • Fixed a case where an entry's text could appear blank. • A refreshed look with the Nunito typeface, updated for iOS 26. • Face ID: if unlocking fails, tap to try again. • Fixes for renaming and deleting tags, adding photos, and contacting us from a phone without the Mail app. • Widgets: your writing streak and On This Day on the Home Screen and the Lock Screen. (Pro) • On This Day: see what you wrote on this date in earlier years, right on Today. (Pro) • Streaks: how many days in a row you have written, in Insights. (Pro) • Shortcuts and Siri: start a new entry, open On This Day or hear your streak. (Pro) • A new look for iOS 26. • Faster with large journals: smoother scrolling while iCloud syncs, quicker photos, Insights and exports. • More private: your passcode now lives in the iOS Keychain, and your journal's files no longer show in the Files app. Back up any time from Settings > Data. • Changing the language no longer closes the app. • Fixes for the Face ID permission text, purchases waiting for Ask to Buy, and the quick action on iPad.
