I had a fairly decent experience starting up my LLC with ZenBusiness. They were nice and seemed fairly knowledgable. I do think they push the up-sale on their subscriptions. I find that I could just keep track of many of these things myself (mileage, expenses, etc.). However, it is convenient and looks nice and orderly when it’s on your screen. The app is terrible. You can’t add expenses and do other simple operations like you can on a desktop. If you need to enter something at the bottom of the page, it is unclickable because it is blocked by their dashboard buttons. Very upsetting and inconvenient to have to use my laptop every time I need to put in information which should easily be done by phone.

I have been with ZenBusiness for a little over two years. I have three LLCs with them and have their ZenBusiness banking. Initially everything was amazing. Customer service was helpful, with minimal wait times and onshore support. Even the banking side was quick, courteous and helpful. Fast forward to today, ZenBusiness updated their app and now; if you have multiple LLCs, you cannot switch between them. Now most would think this was a minor annoyance, until you realize that you cannot deposit ANY customer checks, since you cannot get to the proper bank accounts! The geniuses at ZenBusiness made the ONLY way to deposit checks is via the mobile APP!! Their own documentation points to a backup method, but that doesn’t work and tells you to use the app. When calling for support, I immediately got “ we are having higher then normal call volume.” And waited over an hour for the no- customer service rep to answer. Of course they were not on-shore and it took multiple times to explain the issue. What I got was “ we will open a ticket with tech support and hopefully they will get back to you by Thursday.” Really?!! So now I have spent the day opening up new accounts with actual banks in the area, switching out banking information and card information everywhere. If you don’t mind not being able to do basic banking services AND sub standard customer support that could hardly care to answer the phone, the please sign up! Running a business is hard enough without these clowns adding more to the workload!!

They don’t make it any easier than doing it yourself. Actually it’s harder. Their website build is horrible. It builds a very very basic website. No calendar, no booking, no payment methods…. Nothing that any basic company needs. Their photo gallery setup limits you to 8 photos. You can’t access your email they provide from mobile or even their own zen app. Can only be done from a computer. Trying to login from mobile to the mail portal causes an unknown error and kicks you back to the login screen. For zen to put this “website builder” out is laughable. It looks as if it was done by a high schooler in the early 2000’s. It’s a money grab and nothing else. Provides basically zero function for a business except being a description page. They also are no where near as fast as they say they are. It took them 3 days just tell me my company name was free. In my state they have a website and it takes 20 seconds to check that. If you used them as a registered agent…. Good luck. You are stuck with that subscription until you resubmit all your paperwork to remove them. You can’t even cancel your email subscription on their app or website. You MUST call. Their usually wait time is 30 mins. I wouldn’t recommend these guys to anyone. With all the headache and excuses you just might as well do it yourself and save a couple hundred dollars.

I chose to use ZenBusiness to form my LLC, based on the prices presented to me but I'll just say to be prepared to pay a lot more that what is presented. I've used these services in multiple countries in the past with no problems and this time, it has been unnecessarily expensive with what feel like "surprise" charges and fees. They kept calling, texting and emailing me. Even after trying to get them to just give me what I paid for, and let me take care of the rest, they have some kind of robotic payment system that tries charging me another $300 at least once per day, in addition to the $164 I paid, which was the amount that was due at checkout. Now they're telling me that the EIN was not paid for. The first thing they called me about was the US Government now has a filing requirement through FinCen and if filed too late can result in $500 per day in fines. It was roughly $150 for that. and roughly $150 to be my registered agent. I wrote to see if I could settle the payment for the EIN but using another payment method because I do not want to give them my debit card again. I'm sure, as a business they have very good justifications for what they do and I'm not interested in the "save face police" that will likely try to correct my experiences. I don't even like the concept of 'regret' but if I have any, this is one of them. I wish I had an undo button and I had just used IncFile like I did before. That was a great and straightforward experience but this was not. AVOID AVOID AVOID this!!! GREEDY! Giving them my debit card number felt like giving a credit card to a teenager to go to the mall. I had given them two stars, because they helped me form my LLC, but they sent this nonsense to collection, so I took it down to one. That was the minimum.
