Play ukulele chords and songs this fall, with a built-in tuner and short lessons. No music theory required - perfect for beginners.
Pick up the ukulele and play your first real song this week. Ukulele Lessons for Beginners walks you from your first ukulele chords through full ukulele songs, in short lessons you can finish on a coffee break.
WHAT'S INSIDE
Beginner Curriculum
Hand positioning, first chords (C, Am, F, G), and the strumming patterns that show up in most songs. Each lesson is short and builds on the last, so you're playing along by the end of week one. No music theory required.
Song Tutorials with Tabs
Play real songs with synced tabs, chord progressions, and a strumming guide on the same screen. Slow the tempo down on tricky bars, loop them until they click, then take it back to speed. Pop, folk, rock, and Hawaiian ukulele songs across the catalog.
Strumming Patterns
A full library of strumming patterns and right-hand techniques, from straight down-strums to chnk-mutes and basic fingerpicking. Video close-ups of the right hand, with rhythm exercises to lock in your timing.
Built-in Ukulele Tuner
A chromatic ukulele tuner is built into the app. Tune your G-C-E-A strings before every session in seconds, no extra app needed.
Metronome and Practice Loop
Built-in metronome for steady rhythm and a practice loop mode that repeats a single bar or chord change until your hands remember it.
Progress Tracking
Mark lessons complete, see your practice minutes add up, and unlock badges as you move through skill levels. A small, honest view of how much you have improved.
Daily Practice Routines
10 to 20 minute daily sessions with optional reminders. Short enough to keep going on a busy day, long enough to actually move forward.
WHY IT WORKS FOR BEGINNERS
Plain language and clear visuals. We skip the lecture-hall music theory and show you the chord shape, the strum, and the song. If you can hold the ukulele, you can play it.
New songs and lessons added every month. Request a song you want to learn and we add it to the queue.
Video demos, written steps, audio examples, and on-screen tabs are all there, so you can learn the way that fits you.
The ukulele is a forgiving first instrument: four strings, soft nylon, easy on the fingers, and it travels anywhere. Take it to the beach, on a trip, or to the couch after work.
Open the app, tune up, and play your first song today.
