Alti-Barometer Pro uses your iPhone’s or Watch’s sensor to automatically and continuously record your barometric pressure and altitude. Even while your iPhone is in standby or you're using other apps, Alti-Barometer will seamlessly process and record pressure data in the background. Using beautiful interactive graphs, our app shows you barometric pressure trends over hours and days to help you understand which way the weather may be headed.
Our app supports a broad range ofl auto-updating widgets and Watch face complications. It also supports Apple’s Live Activities to let you see real-time pressure, altitude, and compass direction. And to make sure you don’t get caught off guard, the app’s Baro Alert capability automatically notifies you of large changes in barometric pressure.

Our BaroMap feature lets you see what’s happening around you by displaying pressure trends across the app’s global user community on an interactive map.

A true pressure-based altimeter, our app can keep track of even the smallest altitude changes with far greater precision than battery-draining GPS apps. In addition to altitude, Alti-Barometer displays vertical speed and keeps track of key stats such as total ascent and descent times and distances. And because it’s handy to know what direction you’re heading, Alti-Barometer displays a handy compass on the altimeter screens.
The History feature automatically saves daily snapshots of your pressure and altitude data using Apple’s secure iCloud and lets you interactively explore historical data across weeks, months, or years. Want to see the pressure graph of that big storm last year? With our history capabilities, you can.
We also made it easy to share a snapshots of baro or alto graphs through social media, email, or messaging with our one-tap share feature.
Our exclusive real-time wind analyzer estimate local wind speed using only your device’s sensors - not internet required. Now you can know how hard the wind is blowing even in the middle of nowhere!
Alti-Barometer also shows you weather conditions and forecasts using data from the global network of NOAA/ICAO weather stations - the same weather information that pilots use around the world to fly safely. It’s real weather from real weather stations. And our app has a full suite of weather condition and forecast notifications so you’re never surprised.

The History feature has been re-architected for improved performance and responsiveness by caching previously downloaded data. In addition, the app will now cache new days of history data on your device, and will upload new history to the cloud when an internet connection is available. This means that you can be offline for extended periods of time, and new history data will be automatically saved to the cloud once you have an internet connection again. The History feature will now also display the partially-completed history for the current day so you can now see pressure and altitude history right up to the current time.
This version adds the ability to switch between displaying altitude-corrected pressure most commonly used for tracking weather-related changes (i.e., what you typically see in weather reports), and absolute pressure which is also sometimes referred to as station pressure. Absolute pressure is simply the air pressure reported by your device’s air pressure sensor. This can be useful for various scenarios such as migraine tracking where absolute pressure - the actual air pressure impacting the body - may be more informative than altitude-adjusted pressure which only shows pressure and pressure changes due to the effects of weather.
When the app is displaying absolute pressure, it will be indicated with an “ABS” icon. This applies to widgets, Watch complications, and the history screen as well.
You can switch between station pressure and absolute pressure using a new station pressure setting on the options screen in the “Display preferences” section.
You can also switch between the two modes on the pressure display screen by tapping on the small barometer dial under the graph when displaying altitude-adjusted pressure, or tapping on the “ABS” icon when displaying absolute pressure.
The app also has a number of minor UI improvements such as larger fonts for displaying the start/end dates and displayed time scale under the graph using symbols to indicate the scale range instead of “displayed time”.
This version also has a number of bug fixes and internal improvements.
