Wow! What a fantastic app!!

For starters, I never post reviews…about anything. i’ve been extremely satisfied with something and extremely disappointed in something and never left a review. But this app is AMAZING to say the least and warrants a very positive review. The app has so many functions and features that a twitch user just can’t experience on IOS. Besides the full array of emotes you get access to that you normally wouldn’t get on the standard twitch app, it still supports EVERYTHING the main twitch app does. You can still watch the stream on the application, play the stream in the background, play the stream through PiP, Audio only mode, etc. The settings allow the user to create a true personal experience to their viewing experience. I’m truly blown away with how simple and lightweight yet POWERFUL this app is. Outstanding!!

Great Alternative to Twitch Mobile

I had a mod from my favorite streamer suggest this app after a string of people were(rightfully) complaining about the recent Twitch Mobile updates. I use an Ipad with keyboard case, so I wasn't experiencing those issues BUT I've always hated how the chat, when in use, takes up half the screen which makes the video so small in comparision. With Frosty, I was able to adjust the size of chat, the font, what messages are highlighted, and can see the other extension emotes now! It's so much better! The only few things I have to say about it is not being able to see pinned messages, channel points, the text bar not staying active if I hit enter on my keyboard and not the send icon, and not being able to see when my resub hits. But I literally love the viewing so much better that those are things I'm fine without for now! I suggest it all the time now to anyone who complains about Twitch Mobile!

Frosty is the VIP lounge with ice-cold AC, mood lighting, and a bartender who actually listens to your breakup stories. It’s the streaming app I needed. Feels like someone touched my soul..UI: Slicker than a penguin's @$$Hole. Buttons where they should be, menus that don’t gaslight youSpeed: Streams pop faste. No lag, no stutterChat: Finally readable. Filters that actually filter, mods with real tools, and vibes that don’t devolve into a circus at the first hint of spiceDiscovery: It doesn’t bury the good stuff like a squirrel hiding rent money. I’m finding creators I actually want to watch instead of the same five faces every timeCreator Tools: Feels built by people who’ve touched a stream deck in real life. Clips are crisp, dashboards make sense, analytics don’t look like a tax formIt’s like Twitch went to therapy, did leg day, and learned manners. Classy enough to not get you side-eyed on the bus. I’m not saying Frosty is a million times better than Twitch but it isDownload it, touch grass later. ❄️

Second, the app doesn’t automatically switch to playing in the background if minimized or if another app is opened. Last but not least, it doesn’t look like it can follow a raid to another channel. Oh, and unfortunately there isn’t an AppleTV app either. I really want to stop using the official app in favor of this one but for now, I’ll have to stick with it. I hope the dev is continuing work on this fantastic app, though. The integration with bttv and 7tv emotes is great. Looking forward to app updates!
