Fast, useful, and actually makes scanning cards easier

I’ve only recently started using Rare Candy seriously, but I’m already impressed with the scanner. The auto-scan feature is very fast, and even with less-than-ideal lighting it identified most of my Pokémon cards correctly. I also like that it keeps a recent-scan session together so I can go back and verify everything afterward instead of stopping after every card.It isn’t perfect — I had a few misidentifications when I left it on “Any Card” in poor lighting, so some of that may have been my setup rather than the app itself. I also occasionally had to correct a variant, but that was easy to fix.The important part is that Rare Candy does most of the hard work for me and makes inventorying a large collection feel much more manageable. I had been putting off scanning my cards because I expected it to be tedious, but after using Rare Candy with a scan station, I realized this could actually become a workflow I’ll use regularly.

Let me say this to start off with, most of these apps to scan Pokémon cards charge you after so many scans. Those apps also have a hard time scanning cards and you’re wasting your free scans just by trying to get the app to recognize the card. Not this app, this app you have your card scanned by tapping the image once the card is lined up and bam! It scans it. No fuss no issue, English and Japanese cards scan just fine but Korean or Chinese, not so much. You can add ETBs, UPCs, Booster boxes, and of course your raw cards. There is even shopping within the app, meaning if you’re looking for a product you should be able to find a listing for it within this app. There is also market data on your collection and individual cards. Now the thing I wish you could do, because you can also scan MTG cards, is categorize and create groups of cards. Because I want to keep my pokemon collection and MtG collection separate. Other than that one gripe of mine this app is flawless.

This has been a very enjoyable app to use for collecting, scanning, set building and chase hunting. Customer support has been top tier with quick replies. New updates come quickly and clear communication on what is being provided. The addition of instapacks has really set this platform apart from the rest. Great themed packs, ability to vault pulls and trade in with 80% return. The pull rates have gotten way better in recent weeks with excellent balance to keep chasing legendary pulls. The addition to explain Balanced pulls and Spicy packs so entry level users can understand the risk reward to pack ripping and returns really gives clear options to players who want to chase and who want to get their rewards. Give this a try, it will be worth it. When the addition to add the simplified Chinese sets will really allow this app to cover a wide array of collections and some of the top chase cards in the market.

I heard about this app through an announcement he made on Facebook that came across my feed so I decided to give it a shot. I have already got my collection catalog in dex, and from what I have come to learn is that dex is far superior in its ease of use. I have over 20,000 cards that I need to scan and enter, but I can only scan one card variant with no discernible way that I see at least visible to me on the same screen that allows me to change the variant when I scan the card not to mention that the app crashed on me five times in the middle of scanning, and one time completely deleted an entire set after I had scanned it and had to re-scan to say that you want me to give you a five star review in an email is honestly laughable. Your app should prove itself and you should not have to send out emails saying to give five star reviews in order to maintain your review score your app should do that itself all on its own. I wish I could’ve given it a better review but I cannot in good faith give something. A five star when it can barely do the basics like not crash.
