Been using for 4 months. For novices this app is amazing. The main 5 decks (N5-N1) are all sorted in a manner that makes sense and lessons build on eachother well. Every grammar item comes with a detailed page explaining with examples, references, and links to other similar grammar. I was a total newcomer with only vocabulary knowledge and this app breaks down everything into super digestible pieces. The hourly SRS system is good (with some ghost tweaks) and the review format is clever, with smart answer checking that detects when you might be using a similar grammar pattern and nudging you the other way instead of outright failing you and requiring user intervention (most of the time). Even the vocabulary which I don't use I have found myself checking occasionally as a large amount of common words have good sentence summaries of definitions. I ripped some of those for my own anki cards, lol. I wouldn't recommend trying to use this app as a replacement for everything, but in terms of being a grammar textbook and review factory it is a smash hit, and put me on the fast track from novice level to intermediate level able to read more every day.

I’ve been using Bunpro off and on for a few years now, and have been using the beta of the app. They’ve gone through a lot of changes over the years, but I’m pleased with where the app is right now. Are there some minor things I might change? Sure. I might make it more clear whether the SRS is taking my wrong answer or the correction I made to determine the next time it shows up, or add in the ability to write my own cards. But as it stands, this is my favorite grammar practice app, and until I see what other improvements they have in store I’m happy with giving it 5 stars.

I'm actually a little bit obsessed with this app. I started using Bunpro seriously ~ a month and a half ago, and was thrilled to see that there was a new app! It works very well and my Japanese comprehension and knowledge has skyrocketed in the last several weeks. The app is well organized and easy to use—maybe even easier than the desktop version—and I find myself checking for new reviews very regularly. My only complaint is that it randomly disconnects from the internet when I'm on the subway, but it's a momentary hiccup and not a huge deal.

I’ve been using this app for years now, and truly nothing else compares for making grammar stick. And Japanese has a LOT of grammar nuance so it’s definitely worth its weight in gold.I’m literally able to look up a grammar point from conversation like it’s a new vocab word, and nothing else lets me do that. Brilliant execution, and now it seems there’s vocab learning built in as well, so that’s neat.The devs are incredibly active and they will get to the bottom of any issues you find. If I could give it 6 stars I would, this app is amazing.
