The #1 Roommate App
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Lease season is on. Match with roommates on how you actually live, see the friends you share, and plan the move in one chat. Live in NYC and at 98 colleges.
The #1 Roommate App.
Find a roommate who fits how you live, before you sign a lease. Match on lifestyle, see the friends you already share, and talk it all through in one chat.
Finding a roommate shouldn't feel like a coin flip. College. A first apartment. A new city, a new job, a new lease. We've signed leases with people we met for twenty minutes, so we built the app we wished we had.
HOW IT WORKS
- Build your profile. Budget, move-in date, neighborhoods, and twelve quick lifestyle questions: sleep, cleanliness, guests, drinking, shared costs. The things that actually matter at 2am.
- See your compatibility. Every profile shows how well your habits line up, side by side.
- See who you know in common. Sync your contacts and RoomMe shows the friends you share, so you can ask around before you commit.
- Filter to people who fit. Neighborhood, interests, age, and people in your circle.
- Match and talk. You both say yes, the chat opens. Share listings, send photos, plan the tour.
- Pick your people. Add the roommates you choose and start a group chat for the move.
WHY PEOPLE TRUST IT
- Every account is tied to a verified phone number.
- New profile photos are checked for a real face.
- Report, block or end a connection at any time. Reported accounts are reviewed and removed.
WHERE IT'S LIVE
New York City and 98 colleges, with more opening. Search any US city or school: if we're not there yet, we'll text you the day we open.
WHAT USERS SAY
"RoomMe removed the anxiety from picking a roommate. It made me less worried about what kind of person I'd end up with and more excited about who to pick." - RoomMe user
New city, new campus, new lease. Your roommate is already on here.

Find your people faster.
- Every US college and city is now searchable. If RoomMe isn't open there yet, it says so, and we'll text you the day it opens.
- A new match screen shows what you already agree on: lifestyle fit, move-in month and shared budget.
- A refreshed mutual friends page: see who you both know and text them in one tap.
- New profile photos must show a real face, so you're matching with real people.
- Fixes for phone sign-in, notifications and camera access.
