Scam and really awful cancellation process

Me and my spouse were scammed while apartment hunting, this identity iq thing is part of what they had us sign up for. I canceled my membership immediately after getting what I needed for that person and it was a whole process— finding no way to cancel through app or online portal, sending emails to cancel and then getting weird spam calls from them to FINALLY cancel it. And that’s not even mentioning the multiple levels of marketing they try to push on you while CANCELING THE SUBSCRIPTION, incompetent customer service as they had to stop and ask someone else to figure out what to do— my partner had a hell of a time canceling his, y’all charged him for four months of absolutely no service or anything. You say you provide personal security but you didn’t even clock the scam his information was exposed to— it was the social security administration that reached out and told us his information was exposed and being used. Absolutely awful app and business, honestly I think it was IdentityIQ that leaked and sold his information.

IDIQ does not advertise or promote our services on Craigslist, Indeed, Zillow, or similar sites that request credit information to verify employment or qualify for a rental agreement, so if you were instructed to enroll in IdentityIQ for those purposes, it is potentially a scam. While we do work with third-party partners, they are required to be transparent about our services. Please note that the Social Security Administration does not typically reach out to individuals to inform them that their information is being used, so we encourage you to verify that you are communicating directly with the official Social Security Administration. We want to reassure you that we do not leak or sell customer information and take data security very seriously. We’re also sorry to hear about your cancellation experience, as that is not the level of service we aim to provide. Please contact our Customer Care Center at 877-875-4347 so we can review your account and assist further.
