Here’s the deal though: We use Apple’s TrueDepth API. To use these features, users must agree to LensDirect’s terms and conditions of use. Only when using the LensDirect app does the TrueDepth feature analyze multiple data points on the user’s face. Once the analysis is done, it’s over. We do not save or store any face scan data or share it with third parties. We take privacy seriously.
With our free Pupillary Distance (PD) and facial width measurement scan, when the user selects ‘Okay’ – the user is agreeing to give us access to use the camera on your face and measure facial features. Remember, we don’t store or share those results without your permission. Once the measurements are completed, the user has the choice to share those with whomever (hopefully us, so we can give you the best optical shopping experience).
With our Virtual Try-On technology, when you tap ‘Okay’ – you’re agreeing to give us access to your camera and to measure your features. Once it’s done, it’s gone. We do not store or share that data with any third party.

I couldn’t find any walk in eyeglass place to put new lenses in my old pair of glasses….. until I contacted LensDirect. They sent me a box to ship my glasses back and had them back to me just a few short weeks later, looking better than ever!!! These glasses were the only thing I had left from my dad that I could wear. I absolutely wasn’t getting rid of them!! Somehow my shipping address shows as an address I didn’t enter. There was no verification of the shipping address when ordering. I uploaded my prescription and it says pending. 8 hours later, I’ve received 3 emails already stating I need to add my prescription, the last one threatening to cancel my order. They are only open Monday - Friday and today is Saturday, so no response yet. Can’t wait to see how much of a pain this is going to become. Should have read the reviews before ordering. Feeling a lot of regret.
