Blast Off!

This is my first EV of any type. I’m 68 y/o and 220 lbs. I have the Mars 2.0 and have been having a blast. Fast and efficient performance with or without peddle power. Rode 20 miles and still had 54% of battery life. App tracking is great, and ride stats can be saved. My only complaint would be gear ratio is too low for fast paced rides. Feels like free spinning.

This includes key functionalities that are supposed to enhance the riding experience, making this not just a minor inconvenience but a major flaw. The integration feels sloppy and underdeveloped, indicating a lack of thorough testing or attention to detail, which is surprising and unacceptable from a brand that otherwise seems to prioritize quality.For a bike that excels in so many areas, it is a huge letdown to see the app—a critical component for modern e-bikes—fall so short of expectations. This poor app performance detracts significantly from the overall value of the bike, as it undermines the convenience and additional features that are supposed to make the e-biking experience seamless and enjoyable.I hope the company acknowledges these issues and prioritizes significant improvements in future updates. Bought a Ranger S in December and connected the app immediately. Didn’t have too much trouble with that, but about all it can do is power on and off the bike, with a maybe accurate battery percentage (I’m only 80% certain about that). There’s no stored information on travel mileage, I can’t input information to start trips, the app kind of fails whenever I try to start that. I have over 150 miles on my bike already, so to not see any of that registered whenever I open the app is annoying. The theme needs an update too, but that’s minor compared to the larger update overhaul this app needs.

While HeyBike is one of the best affordable class 2 e-bikes it’s sorely lacking in customer service and support. Spare parts such as batteries and displays are impossible to purchase from their website.I personally need a replacement display as mine had broke. I waited 6 months before I could buy another one. This is a big deal because the display is linked to the e-bike controller. So a broken display means no electric bike use.
