I have only very recently started using this app and thought I would share my experience thus far. I didn’t set out in the App Store looking for a password app but I did indeed download one. I chose this one, rather this one chose me. You see I received this app as a bonus when I purchased the premium edition of an Authenticator app I had by 2stable. Now I wasn’t exactly sure if I needed this password app but how could I refuse such a wonderful gesture, I couldn’t. With that I opened up my new Password app and my premium Authenticator but right away I realized I had not a clue how to use either one. After a couple days, I reached out to the team at 2stable and explained my dilemma in an email. Unsure if I would hear back anything at all, I waited. It was a terrific feeling to see that they did write back as I was checking the notification that popped up on my phone. The same day I reached out, they replied, now that is freaking awesome! Now I find myself wondering, how in the heck can this be possible, as I am reading the reply email. Vanessa from 2stable had in one fell swoop, answered all the questions I had regarding the use of both apps! She cut no corners and left no doubt. At that exact moment I knew with certainty that I had made the best choices I could have made by purchasing and installing these two apps. I can also say the same exact thing after using them. Look, my fellow app connoisseur’s, what I am saying here is simple - a well built and well maintained app in conjunction with a passionate team of developers is a great big win for us, the users. That’s exactly what you have when you make the choice to scroll no further and pick this wonderful Password app by 2stable. You can rest easy now, your search is over. Great Replacement App

Pros: easy to create entries, the only way to bypass entering your password for the app is to copy/paste from elsewhere (cant use one password app to autofill like I can with my current app), reasonable annual fee, and great customer serviceCons: currently unable to import from other apps, you must enter your password every time with no ability to switch apps to copy from one app to this one without it lockingCustomer Service Interaction: I downloaded this heavily based on the developer’s feedback in their reviews. I sent in a help request email with some observations/changes I’d like to see . The reply was quick and not generic or vague. Every item I mentioned in my email was addressed. Of course no timeframes were given but, subjectively, I feel there is a high probability a human would actually provide my info to other humans.I do have to qualify why I’m satisfied with the 3-day response to my email. I sent the it on an early Saturday morning of a 3-day “most places are closed” weekend. I didn’t see an expected response time listed during my research but found it, in this case, to be acceptable.Overall, I’m pleased with the app and have almost a year to enter my info from another app, whose subscription I will let expire. Maybe by then I’ll be able to simply import it!

I have learned to not expect an app to do EVERYTHING your led to believe it will. All those promises are from one user with one type of device on one type of ISP and going through another type of router/modem and the chances of every consumer having exactly that combination of similarities is slim to none! I will say however, this app functions superbly and seems to be head and shoulders above other apps like robokiller and dash lane to name a few!

Great Potential But Won’t Switch Yet

I’ve been looking for an app that can top 1password and this one has the most potential. The benefit of using iCloud to store data is great but there are some things I think it should have prior to a full yearly commitment. Unfortunately without a Mac app or extensions for other browsers, I feel it may not be as useful as of the moment. There is a “login with” feature in 1password that surpasses most password managers which gives you the ability to declare how you authenticate an account with another. For example a lot of people use their Google or Microsoft account to log in to other accounts without the actual use of an email or password, so storing this information is crucial.This password manager should have the ability to set up verification codes on iPhone and if a Mac app is built it should have an extension feature across the entire computer, the only company I’ve seen achieve this is Secrets by Outer Corner, although a useful feature their app had to many bugs.The creation of a new vault is not clearly present unless only the creation of groups are allowed.Pulling favicons from websites is useful for branding icons.Saving software licenses is another great feature.—Best,Bastian Geiser
