Choosing the right grout color can make or break your design. Groutr lets you see how any grout shade — or even multiple shades — will look on your own tiles and mosaics before you commit.
Take a photo of your project, and Groutr automatically detects the grout lines. From there, you can:
- Try any color: pick a custom shade or colors from real grout brands
- Compare side-by-side: preview up to 4 colors at once
- Visualize multi-color grout: paint or recolor lines individually for creative designs
- Edit with precision: erase or redraw to refine the detected grout lines
- Pick colors from your image to match grout samples or tile colors
- Simulate grout on all tile types: mosaics, ceramic, hex, pebble pavers, stained glass, and more. If it needs grout, Groutr can visualize it.
Whether you’re planning a bathroom remodel, designing a kitchen backsplash, or finishing a mosaic artwork, Groutr uses your own images to help you explore options, avoid costly mistakes, and design with confidence.
I’ll pay for it when it gets better. So clunky. Hard to navigate colors, settings only load half the time, the first color pop up is pointless!

Thieves! don’t trust it

Of course the free version is useless. It either gives you black or white grout or marbleizes the entire photo so you can’t see anything. Ok fine. So I bought a day pass like an idiot. Never should have trusted it. Won’t allow me to change a grout color (the whole purpose of the app and paying for it). It comes up with a page saying I need to pay to use it. I even tried to pay for it twice wondering if it hadn’t gone through (it did. It did the usual Apple ding and second time told me I already subscribed). But it won’t allow me to actually do ANYTHING with the grout. I will be complaining to Apple and hopefully it gets removed for cheating people.

We're sorry for the frustration. We did reach out multiple times to troubleshoot this together and weren't able to get the information needed to reproduce the issue. We genuinely want to help — please contact us at contact@neuralappworks.com or request a refund directly through Apple's Report a Problem page. We'll make it right.
Pay for what??? A preschooler could do better.

Tried it. It generated some seriously crazy grout lines on some pretty well defined images. Then when you try to run the app it asks for you to pay $$$ for a mess a preschooler could have done with crayons. Nope.

App couldn’t tell from my photo what areas would be grouted and which were my mosaic pieces, so it showed grout lines across my photo.

Search, save and quickly try out real purchasable grout colors from most major brands. In addition, the color picker has been completely redesigned, and now allows saving favorite colors for later use.
