more I found this app a day after we got to Paris. We were doing the same thing as everyone else.. Stoping randomly looking at the big map provided by the hotel or one that maybe you can find online.. 5 mins here 5 mins there wasted looking for the right lines. After I got the app I just have to tell which point of dapper and point of arrival we wanted. And it will figure out the metro lines to take. It doesn't even needs wifi to work!! We were "experts" taking the metro with this app. So worth it!! I cannot recommended more. Best tool to get around in Paris. It even have alerts of which lines are busy or open depending on the people traffic.

As if the hand of Steve Jobs himself touched my right shoulder and whispered, “You’ve got this.” I entered my destination, “Eiffel tower” and using “transportation” -instead of the other map options like, Drive, walk etc and a turn by turn, step by step of what train, which platform, which direction -take the xyz to abc and in X stops get off just after Y and because Steve was quite the visionary my phone even showed me which direction to face and go!!! Bravo Apple Maps. Bravo.

This app completely saved the day and made my trip to Paris even more amazing. Unfortunately, Verizon's network here does not allow for data, which makes my phone fairly useless. BUT thanks to Google Maps ability to download an entire map of Paris, with my favorite locations, and this app's ability to use GPS in offline mode, I was able to get around, see everything I wanted to see, and do so with the greatest of ease. This app made riding the Metro a breeze!!! If you're even thinking about downloading it, STOP RIGHT NOW and download it. Money very well spent!

I know there were a couple of times where it took me to 3 trains to get to one location vs 2 where it was more a direct route. There is no zoom when a route is plotted either so that's a bit of a bummer but oh well. Overall 4 well deserved stars. It's a handy tool to have especially when you're going to multiple destinations in a day.

This new feature allows you to receive Paris Metro alerts in real time, when a disrupted line is detected, a notification is automatically sent to your iPhone / iPod Touch. A numbered badge to Metro Paris Subway application icon shows the current number of disrupted lines. This functionality is totally free.

- Paris Bus is now available for the first time in the same application via in-app purchase.
