This is “Dictate + Connect Lite”, our free limited version of Dictate + Connect. Experience the functionality and feel of the full version. Dictate + Connect Lite offers everything that Dictate + Connect does, but limits each single dictation to a length of 30 seconds instead of 24 hours. It also manages no more than 5 dictations at the same time.
This app is accessible and easy to use with VoiceOver. However, double tapping the play button doesn't play your dictation, instead, it gets stuck. Could you please fix it?
Works for a doctor doing dictation

We have been using the paid version and it's been working well. Use ftp with ssl to comply with HIPAA. It doesn't support tls session resume, but hopefully it gets fixed soon.
Works Great

I downloaded this demo to test the full fledged application. I dictate a lot of reports every year (100's) and have tired of the purpose built dictation recorders by companies such as Olympus. After spending $200 for a recorder and $70 for an external microphone from blue parrot, I am struck with the poor quality of the sound. This sounds great. Using the iphone's built in microphone the sounds is 100 times better than my Olympus. I am buying the full fledged version. Certainly, the files are going to be larger than DSS files, but the sound is better and they could easily be converted to MP3. I even tried the app with my iPhone ear buds by Etymotic. Sound quality was great.
I couldn't figure out most of the "awesome" features
yep, I'm there.
Ok I'm not a total idiot, and am very familir with adaptive and dictation apps/programs, but this is not very user friendly for me. Idk if I just missed something or didn't give it enough time, but I couldn't figure out how to "overwrite" or "insert" a darn thing! I'd have given it 5 stars if I could even get it to do what it says it could. And most of these programs want you to pay a truckload of money to have your dications transcribed, and won't let you save your recordings just for your own personal use, but require you to set up an acct & use your credit card to have a transcribed copy emailed to you, which may be helpful for many, but I couldn't even figure out how to insert or overwrite anything. I did get the full version to no avail. I obviously missed something, or it doesn't do what it says. Either way I found other apps that were easier, and free. I'm sure in time they'll have those features too. But for what it's worth, it IS a very useful feature to have, if it's really there somewhere which is why I have it 2 stars... assuming it must be there somewhere but I just missed it. But if I couldn't figure out how to use it & got so frustrated I just deleted it to make room for more useful apps, then that speaks loads to it's ease of use... which won't serve disabled users very well. Idk if there are disabled users who've had the same problems I had with just using the thing, but I imagine it must be. At least they advertised what the free version will & won't do & the limits imposed.... which makes it pretty much "a free trial" that isn't even free enough to really let you get a good idea of it before deciding to buy it.
