App Features Overview:
KODAK Film Calculator
KODAK’s Film Calculator eliminates the need for ongoing arithmetic.
If you are shooting 16 mm film at 24 fps with 58 feet of film left, how much running time do you have? No need to scratch your head, or try to figure out which crew member can do the correct computation. With just a few simple touches, KODAK’s Film Calculator provides the answer!
Use this KODAK Cinema tool to determine the run time for any length of film in any format, including Super 8, 16, 35 and 65 mm. Film length can be entered in feet or meters. It’s easy, accurate and at your fingertips whether you’re on set or on location.
KODAK Depth of Field Calculator
Get in focus with the KODAK Depth of Field Calculator!
Do you want deep or shallow focus? Use Kodak’s Depth of Field Calculator app to help you determine the settings you need to get the focus you want.
For example, if you are using 35 mm film, and the subject is at 10 feet, your focal length is 50 mm, and your F-stop is 8, this app will calculate your near limit, far limit, hyperfocal distance and circle of confusion. Simply enter the values you know in the KODAK Depth of Field Calculator app and instantly have the answers you need to capture the image you envision. It’s easy to use and takes the guesswork out of the equation!
The KODAK Depth of Field Calculator app is designed to be used with any film format, including Super 8, 16, 35 and 65 mm. F-stops range from F1.4 – F22, with 1/3 stops included.

I’m a proud father of three full grown empowered women. We don’t have much to talk about these days besides my wife’s tulip bed that is regularly raided by the neighborhood rabbits so that no tulip bulbs have managed to bloom in the last ten years. This app saved my marriage and my relationship with my kids. Now all we talk about is what the depth of field on our favorite lenses. I’m even thinking of buying Kodak film and I’ve never seen a camera before. Thank you Kodak and God bless you:)
Great DoF calculator

This is a very simple app that was originally designed for use with analog motion picture films, for cinematographers. However, it can also be used for depth of field calculations for photographers who have full-frame digital cameras. Previously, I used other methods to perform those calculations, involving paper slide calculators or an electronic programmable calculator, but they were not as easy or as quick to use as this app.
iOS 11 Support (Edited)
AnalogInterface
EDITED POST: Kodak has updated their app to be iOS 11 compatible and I could not be happier. Updating was a breeze, and the new minimalist design is quite modern. DoF and the Film Calculator are sleek and intuitive. 5/5 ORIGINAL POST:This is a wonderful app, however, the lack of 64-bit support means it no longer works for those who upgrade to iOS 11. Please recompile Kodak. The app is wonderful, and it would be a shame to lose access to such a helpful app
Developer Response

Use it Daily

Run a transfer company where we take old movie film and capture it in 1080 or 4k depending on the cusromer. Most times the footage was undercranked at time of capture (film run slower so more content over fewer feet of film similar to VHS standard play vs long play) which means everyone becomes Charlie Chaplainesque when played back at the proper 18 fps aa opposed to 16 / 15 / or at the extreme end of 12 fps. I use this to determine the final charges after I time correct the footage to play back at ‘normal’ motion, which involves slowing the image playback down. Also great for when I take the Beaulieu or Bolex out to roll REAL film in todays harsh digital age.
This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.
