iPreFlight Genesis™, the next generation of iPreFlight, integrates flight planning, takeoff/landing performance limitations, and manufacturers’ weight and balance requirements with only minimal user input required. The flight planning element uses manufacturers’ operational data, in conjunction with current forecast weather conditions, to calculate the fuel required for the flight. The fuel calculation includes fuel burn (optimized for minimum fuel or time), and fuel for reserves, alternates, and holding.
Along with runway analysis (RWA), weight and balance (WB), and flight planning, Genesis allows the user to prepare a trip book containing all textual and graphic weather products for the planned flight. The trip may be created days in advance of the flight, stored on the iPad, and can be automatically updated as products are revised. Or if needed, Genesis can create flight plans without an internet connection by using historical weather information, and then can be updated when internet is available. Approaching departure time, the user can easily prepare a flight release, consolidating RWA, WB, flight planning, and weather products. The flight release can be emailed, stored on an iPad, and/or shared with other flight deck crew members.
I am not able to save new aircraft settings in the aircraft defaults page. Ete seems a little too short by .2 or .3 and fuel burns seem to be several hundred pounds low of actual. Needs a place to input a pilots real world hourly fuel burn in the settings so it can be used in the calculations along with a pilots real world true airspeed in climb cruise and descent to more accurately display the real world ete. Charts take a very long time to download. It will only email the first page of a report instead of the entire report.
Update: Attachments now work

Recent update (4.8.4) offers the ability to attach an external document (ie trip sheet, risk assessment, etc) to a book. Thank you!
Requires APG account before any use
Galena Guy
Don't bother downloading this until you call APG and get a Mobile Performance and Weight and Balance account set up. M'self, I'm not going to spend (reportedly) $1500/yr for an iPad front-end to APG's servers. If it were usable in flight, i.e., without an internet connection, I might consider it. (Context: I'm a Mustang owner/operator.)
Perfect app for a Phenom 100 operator
captain_cory
We operate a phenom 100 and this app has saved our lives. We operate in mountainous terrain, short runways, high temps. We are quickly and easily able to get our performance numbers and determine the legality and safety of the flight. Also does flight planning. If you own a phenom, I highly recommend this service. Occasional bugs, but APG quickly resolves and updates the app. Would like to have the ability to file the created flight plans. Works offline now, just make sure your database is current.
This is a maintenance release to address application stability.
For compliance and training managers, there are no workflow changes or adjustments to overall application functionality.
