I enjoyed glancing at headlines and then found I could easily listen to a program from this morning that I'd missed. However, over half way through the program, my phone rang. When I tried to go back to the program, I had lost my spot. Then I was unable to fast forward back to where I was listening.Can you make changes so that we can go back to where we were listening? Is there anyway to run this app to be able to listen in the background while also checking email or working in other apps?Thanks...nice improvements but it appears I still need to listen to my radios so I can work on my iPhone.

I agree with the previous comments. If I’m streaming MPR and I get a call, or click on a FB post with sound, MPR doesn’t pause as it used to. So disappointed in this “upgrade.”

Internet connectivity problems

Love MPR and like the app...except I can't use it. It says that the app requires an Internet connection and then closes. I'm connected to wifi, which works (it's how I'm posting this review!) but the app says there's no Internet connection. Hmm. If I may: why does it *require* Internet? Wouldn't it be better if, perhaps, you could read stories that were already downloaded to the device? One couldn't get new stories, podcasts, or streaming audio offline, but at least the app would be usable. I'm not a dev, but as a user that would be much better.Otherwise I really like the app, only I can't use it. I hope this gets fixed so I can start to use it again. I also see that I'm not alone in this problem, so it seems that it's indicative of the app, and not our Internet or devices.

This update includes improvements to readability, accessibility, article pages, and the donation experience. MPR News now better supports larger device text sizes across the app, including Home, article, program, podcast, and other screens. We’ve also improved article timestamps, fixed YouTube video embeds, removed extra description text from article detail pages, improved shared article links, and refreshed the donation experience.
