Good app but something happened

I never write reviews but I love this app and couldn’t figure out how to ask a question from the developer or give feedback about the app on the website. I’ve been having issues for awhile but most recently the following: sometimes a pop up is displayed asking me if I like the app or if I want to rate it. The only way to do anything including trying to rate it is to force close the app. I do this three times to get it to go away. Then when I try and read the news through the “news home” tab it spins for a long while and there is a considerable delay in getting to the most recent news stories. Many times I have to swipe down 2 or 3 times to get it to update. The same is true with “top stories “ and “local”. Most recently in the last few days I either get a “no articles” message in “news home” or there is a picture with the dots to swipe through the stories right to left and nothing but blank space underneath. So I swipe through only about 6 or 7 stories and that is all I get for the news. I do not know why this is happening and I am unsure when it updated but my phone was on automatic app updates(which I’ve since turned off). I would love it if someone could either send me a message through the app or my email or release an update and explain the issue here. As much as I believe this particular issue deserves three stars, I love the app too much to give it a low rating. Please update. This is the best app to stay plugged into NJ news and local news. Love you guys but please get your tech guys on it !

can no longer save stories

I have been a print and digital subscriber for years and want to support local journalism. One issue, I used to be able to save a story using the star icon at the top of the article. Recent updates took this ability away. I have digital subscriptions to other newspapers and can save articles. It is annoying that I can no longer save articles. Please bring this feature back. Subscribers and nonsubscribers should be able to save articles.Your latest update seemed to have fixed the bug when I read an article and then go to a link within that story to read a second article, clicking done did not close the articles. Thanks for the fix.I find the site reasonably easy to navigate. I give a three-star rating because I can no longer save articles.

Honestly, I’ve had this app for years and loved getting my local news instantly. But the restrictions for content reserved for subscribers is out of control. There is no rhyme or reason as to why I can read an article at 10 am, but by 10:30 it’s locked. Sometimes in the app it isn’t labeled as a subscriber exclusive, but once I click the article I can’t read it. It is also incredibly frustrating when the title of the article insinuates it is an important story, like “police manhunt for suspect is ongoing”. So I would have to pay to find out about a possible safety concern in my area, or pay to find out the article was clickbait. I am all for using subscriptions for premium content, but I’m over having to go google my local news.
