Makes online banking easy as 1-2-3. I’ve been with AFCU for 40+ years ... and they’ve always done right by me. I’ve been doing online banking with them since I picked up my first 3-1/2” hard plastic disc to insert into my PC; and it wasn’t even called online banking then. LoL. With everything new, there will be growing pains; but I feel AFCU has done a great job of staying current and keeping their program updated. I’ve never experienced any of the problems others have mentioned; but I keep track of my spending, because I know no software is 100% infallible. As others have mentioned, tho ... I also wish AFCU would make inter-bank transfers available. Most banks offer that now, since the majority of online bankers either have more than one bank or credit union they use, or have the need to transfer money to someone who doesn’t have an account with AFCU. The only option is a wire transfer, which is expensive for the sender, and oddly enough ... expensive for the receiver if they bank with AFCU. They are the only banking institution I’ve ever known to charge for an incoming wire transfer; and it’s not a small fee. It’s close to the same amount it costs to send the wire. Didn’t mean to bash them; but as a parent who often transfers money to my son who is in the Middle East long term with the Armed Forces, it would be cheaper and easier if they would incorporate inter-bank transfers into all of the great services they already offer. They’re still an awesome credit union and deserve the five stars I rated them.

This credit union has been the best bank I’ve ever been with. Comparing it to Wells Fargo, Chase Bank, US Bank, Jordan Credit Union, and other I just don’t even need to mention. America First far out does it by far. The customer service is spectacular. The easy to use drive up banking and even their ATM’s are great. The level at which I can just have a trustworthy place to hold onto my money making it easy to use my money or save my money os worth more than trying to deal with one of those fake banks trying to be real. That’s all there is to it. A great credit union who knows what there doing and making life easier for the average soccer mom. With bills to pay, kids to feed, and a husband who works hard to provide everything he can. You guys are a blessing. Not having to talk about why that bill didn’t get paid or excessive overdraft fees that placed us in the negative over dinner is worth every penny America First Credit Union does take/ (steal) from our account. Thank You for being what America need right now. Those other guys don’t know what they are doing when it comes to banking even if they are warehouse bank. America needs America First Credit Union.

I need help managing my resources between America First Credit Union, East Idaho Credit Union and Holly Frontier Credit Union. This app makes it easy to transfer and to receive resources from each bank account. The excellent teller services and the great people who help me on the phone, like Chelsea who helps me pay my overdraft each month, convinced me to move our Federal Employees payroll to automatic deposit in America First. Holly Fromtier Credit Union manages the two Social Security payments I receive each month and has my savings account. Because the App makes banking so simple for me, I can budget priorities better. I still pay for my children to go to school, and help support one daughter who is divorced. I am disabled now and confined to a wheelchair since I lost my right leg. The kindness and good assistance I receive at America First is making all of the difference. As soon as the hospital bills are paid, I will move all of my income to America First Credit Union. For more than 25 years I have worked and struggled with disease and the “first of the month” banking tasks, depending on others to physically drive me to the bank to do important transactions and get cash. The wonderful staff at America First has alleviated the regular “first day of the month” payment hassles, permitting me to use many features of the App and the online banking, instead having to go out, to hire a cab, or to impose upon my neighbors or my children for a ride to the bank. I truly appreciate the America First “attitude” that is maintained by each of the bank associates. The App is merely a reflection of the “character” of the America First Associates. I wish each of them a “Merry Christmas” and thank you sincerely for helping an old lady feel less alone, and less helpless. According to customer service, if you use a checking routing number to pay a bill it does not show up as a pending charge in your account. Therefore leaving you to think you have more money in your account than you actually do. The convenience of paying online allows you to not have to keep track or a detailed report of what you’ve paid. Why does the platform not reflect a transaction as pending regardless if it clears or not and at least you’ll know that there is something that’s waiting to be withdrawn from you account. Setting up an alert to let you know when you have a little balance is great, but it doesn’t help when you have a larger payment clearing and you don’t have the money in your account to cover it. Plus why does the app not show your balance before and after transactions like the online banking platform does? This would be very helpful in the app. I close an account of 25 years with another bank to come to America first credit union and I’m so disappointed. After speaking to customer service about this incident they suggested I use a loan to cover my checking account in this type of situation. I am just trying to balance my account down to its last penny. Not take out money as I currently have money in the account or even in my savings account. Please look at other banking platforms and see how they do it. Please update your app.
