Speaking as both an Atrium patient and physician, app is terrible, but not at all unexpected as it is built off the Epic electronic health record platform. App doesn’t list all the providers that you see, so you can’t message them. Support won’t add them so you can, even if is clear as day in the record that you are seeing that provider on a regular basis. Don’t even bother trying to schedule an appointment though the app. Provider availability is never accurate. For example, I recently tried to get a sick visit for my daughter and the app said there are no pediatricians system wide that have any openings for months, which was obviously wrong. Recommend calling your clinic directly to get correct, coherent information. Epic is good at collecting revenue from patients and tracking staff’s behaviors when using the health record (in a very Big Brother like manner). Meanwhile it is terrible for patient care, leads to a plethora of medical errors and most non-administrative staff, which is over 90% of Atrium, hate it. Unfortunately nothing will change until we kill someone due to these medical errors and/or the media gets wind of things and makes a fuss.
