***The HanseMerkur ServiceApp with many new features***
The ServiceApp is available to all policyholders of HanseMerkur Krankenversicherung AG, as well as customers with pet surgery insurance, pet health insurance, or dog liability insurance from HanseMerkur Allgemeine AG (excluding contracts concluded in Austria). The app will gradually be made available for other areas of insurance as well.
Use the app to quickly and easily submit documents online, such as medical or veterinary invoices, prescriptions, medical records, and other documents relating to your contract, or to submit a claim.
Discover our wide range of personalised insurance services, such as updating contact and bank details, requesting certificates, granting authorisations, and - depending on your cover - accessing various health services for both people and animals.
FEATURES
Submission:
Send us your documents conveniently using various methods (photo function, barcode scan, or PDF upload). For each document, you can choose which contract or person it relates to.
You also have the option to store documents in the ServiceApp and submit them at a later time - for example, if you are still waiting for a statement or a related document is missing.
Various personalised insurance services:
These are displayed or hidden depending on your insurance cover and are always pre-filled with the data known to HanseMerkur, for example:
• Change contact details (name, address, telephone, email)
• Change bank details
• Add authorisations
• Request an addendum to the insurance policy/contract excerpt
• Request tax office certificate
• Change pet characteristics
• Contact us (arrange call-back appointments, chat)
• Health services
• Terminate contract
E-prescription:
Policyholders with comprehensive health insurance can authenticate themselves via the ServiceApp in the app “Das E-Rezept”. This allows e-prescription data to be imported into the ServiceApp and submitted.
Digital receipt of invoices:
Invoices from your doctor or dentist can be received digitally in the postbox of your ServiceApp. You will receive almost all correspondence relating to your policy in encrypted form in your digital postbox, where you can sort and filter it, as well as print and export it individually or in full.
Synchronisation:
You can use the app on multiple devices simultaneously. All documents received in your postbox and all submissions made via the app are synchronised and displayed across all registered devices.
SECURITY
Your health data is sensitive and must be fully protected. Therefore, all documents are securely encrypted and stored within the app.
The registration process has been optimised in line with the latest data protection requirements and requires a one-time registration using your email address, password, contract number, and PIN (as well as, where applicable, the eID procedure when using the e-prescription feature).
REQUIREMENTS
To use the ServiceApp, you need an active contract in the field of health insurance, pet health or pet surgery insurance, or dog liability insurance.
Your iPhone or iPad must be running at least iOS 17.

Doesn’t work anymore

After not functioning properly for months (always a technical problem displayed and a message that invoice would be submitted after connection was restored), the latest update on 20 November 2019, it doesn’t even get past the loading screen before crashing
