We switched to Seacoast during the onset of the covid lockdowns. Our commercial national bank of over 30 years, Wells Fargo, turned us down for our PPP loan. We were in a time crunch that could end our company as the lockdowns shut down 70% of our revenue stream overnight. Fortunately we found a bank that specialized in HVAC and were able to secure the loan needed to bridge our payroll. I asked for recommendations from my socioeconomic circle and Seacoast was the # 1 name that, kept coming up. We made the switch over 5 years ago and have never regretted it.

This app is not great for managing personal finances. I work in the financial services industry and have seen countless other interfaces over the years - many better, and many worse than this one. I would recommend doing some in-depth research as to what clients want to see and how they access this information. Also, while there are limits due to devices/access portals, the more an app can emulate and simply mirror the same data interaction as a full-service website portal, the better it can be. Lastly, while I completely understand the cybersecurity risks out there, the use of aggregators like Yodlee (which is an industry standard), need to have constant connection. The frequency of disconnection from other sources (both into the bank or pulling from the bank) is a major pain point for clients who have multiple providers (such as employer benefit plans, outside investment portfolios, and tools such as Quicken and Quickbooks to name a few). SeacoastBank is one of the most troublesome and does not maintain connectivity causing other tools to constantly have to re-connect when pulling data from the bank. This is truly a pain point and should be further refined.
Desperately needs updating

There are many options in the app. However it needs a world of improvement. The shades of light bluish, green, and gray that they use require more concentration to look at. Please move to a larger black font to enhance definition/ contrast and ease of use. There should also be a focused/ streamlined user experience. This app is reminiscent an old website that was built for a PC that simply converts to a smaller screen for a phone. You can do so much better than this! I switched from USAA to this bank because I wanted a local branch, but in all honesty had I seen the mobile app first, I can honestly say it would’ve affected my decision to move to this bank. I did the majority of my banking via the mobile app, but simply need a local branch from time to time.
When you’ve exhausted your digital options… yikes!

I grew up in a very digitally, friendly family. My parents were young and today we have FaceTime family talk and I can tell you I use every application on every possible banking and or credit card app and I prefer not to use the telephone and hear a bunch of options that all right wait for my problem anyway and he rerouted a bunch of times and just keep my fingers crossed and tap my heels three times and hope that this time I can get a human being…..Usually that’s fine and usually the app works pretty darn well, but I guess the quest for main… When you are happily dependent upon and you reach a point where you’ve exhausted your digital options and you truly do need a living breathing customer service representative to help you….. good luck!🙏🏼
