Hi,I’m a 13 y/o kid who started a small business for 3D printing on-demand. I started a few months ago, and I can sure say that this app has helped me so much in managing and keeping track of my money! Since I’m 13, I don’t have a credit card, so all of my money was in cash, which is very hard to manage and keep track of. I was trying to find an app that could add and subtract money on command without linking a credit card to, as well as creating a budget. Then I found Money Lover, and it was history from there. When spending money(which I rarely ever did) I could easily create a transaction and see how much money I had remaining. When I made sales, I could add money into my account, which was super convenient! I eventually switched over to the premium account, which was totally worth it. The ability to make different kind of wallets such as goal wallets helped me make enough sales to buy a new 3D printer! Everything in the app works really smoothly, and nothing is anything close to cheap quality. I am not sure why you wouldn’t want this app. Since my reasons for downloading it are specific to me, make sure to consult other reviews if you have questions or have a specific thing you need out of a money management app. Thanks for reading my story!

I have been using the free version of this app for the last couple months and it has been able to do whatever I needed to do related to my personal finances. The app has kept track of spending over the past months. The app takes note of my income compared to my spending to show how much money is left over. This app makes nice charts to show me net income which are very helpful if you are careful on how one spends money. The app allows me to put what category of expense the purchased object falls into. That could be for example, food, entertainment, clothing, ect.However this app is very basic, and does not have all the features that the top budgeting apps have. Money lover does not have multiple features that are completely useful. The app does not allow you to hook up a credit card or connect to your bank (which is what a quality app usually has). Due to me having the free version, if they ever in the future added a way I could link the app to the credit card, I would not feel completely safe adding it.I would want for Money lover to add a feature that you could just take a picture of your receipt to make it a little quicker than having to manually type it in. The app seems unsafe to me. Maybe they should improve the free version of the app so that there are no ads. When apps have ads the app feels cheap. In conclusion, it is a pretty decent app but very basic. It has worked for me and believe it can work for some of you.

I’ve been using moneylover for more than 5 years and I even bought the all the features way back then. In the latest update they now do not let me see my spending reports because I have to “subscribe” to a monthly tier (fee) in order to have all the features. When I click on the restore purchase it gives an error. So they essentially are charging me twice and to infinity if I subscribe to their tier which honestly have all the same things the app had before with a nicer theme. I’ll be looking to alternatives that are better with subscription models… at the very least the developer could have grandfathered those who were already premium users and start charging those that use the app for free if they wanted all the features. Disappointed!UPDATE: The reports features are now available for those who bought lifetime access.

I downloaded this app because of the aesthetics. I also was looking for something to replace the old school “checkbook balance ledger,” so I could enter in expenses/transactions as I make them and always know how much money I have. Basically, I don’t want to have to log into my bank’s app. I entered in a starting balance and also my monthly recurring transactions, but I’ve noticed that they aren’t automatically added on the dates I have specified. I have checked the details I entered - repeat monthly, starting on xxxx date, etc., but still never see the recurring transactions, so I have to enter them in manually and still check my bank’s app for my balance. Also, even though I have entered in a starting date for a recurring transaction, when I save it go to my list of recurring transactions, the list has them starting a month after I indicated, although when I tap the individual setup transaction from the list, it has the correct start date. It’s very confusing. I’ve contacted the developers through the app as well as with the email, but have received no response. I will update this review once things are fixed and I can use this app as I intended.
