I haven’t played this game in a while and I’m still losing, but I know the pieces. Although, I don’t know what I’m doing but I’m getting it a little bit. Chess by post is fun and a little boring but when you play for a while, it might see quite fun. in my opinion, I say that this game is fun and good for people to do when they may or may not be really ready to do the real thing. I give a four star rate for this game but right now I’m always losing and I mean every! But I just need to know and play the game more but I think it is a pretty good game. 👩🏽

First off I wanna say this app is fun to play chess with others when your opponents play fairly. After which it all goes down hill.. there are a lot and I mean a lot of either bots or chess engine cheaters. I have played more then 150 different players all low rated “not my choice the computer auto picks your opponents “who are apparently super grandmasters and are in beatable even though their rating shows otherwise. I am not claiming to be perfect but I have a rating of high 2400’s and have about a 96% move accuracy in which all of my opponents always have 100%. Which is only possible with a chess engine / program. Also the puzzles are highly flawed. I have put the computer into mate so many times and it tells me I am incorrect and would rather me win a piece?? More often then not the puzzles rely on the computer making a blunder after your first move which is completely ludicrous. Please fix your puzzles and add a report button so we can start banning these cheaters..

This app delivers by simulating postal chess in an easy to use format. I've played or am playing 13 games and only two have disappeared, an issue that should decrease as one's rating increases so yo get paired with higher rated players. The interface is intuitive, and includes a convenient planning mode (which allows you to play out variations and lines, in order to check out candidate moves) and note making capability. Your actual move in the game asks for confirmation, so it would be difficult to accidentally make a move. The ads are not intrusive at all. The app icon indicates when your opponent has made a move, and the time limit for the player on move is clearly indicated, making it unlikely you'll accidentally overstep the one-move-every-five-days time control. Every time you look at any given game, when the board appears, you're reminded of the last move by animation of the piece or pawn that moved, and the 'from' and 'to' squares remain highlighted. You can easily play back the game from any point, to remind you of how you got to the current position. When a game is over you can export the move list in pgn format. Possible improvements would be to allow viewing of the move list during the game (you can play the moves back and forth but not see the move list) and also to allow players to choose whether to go by ICCF rules (which allows use of engines) or e.g. USCF rules (which doesn't allow engines) -- or second best, for the app to simply adopt a set of rules. The app doesn't address which set of correspondence rules are in effect. (I don't use engines and do not suspect any of my opponents have, but why not close that door?) Also, it would be slick if the various lines you test out in planning mode could be saved, but that starts to smack of an app over five bucks or so. Finally, thankfully the app has no feature allowing requests for take-backs. Another app I'm trying does, and it's annoying to have had to decline a request from my opponent. Sorry but take-backs are contrary to the rules and spirit of the game.

I had a chess kick a year or two ago with a popular chess app. And this one is so much better because of two features1. Plan Moves let’s you play out scenarios so you can see how a given move could play out. (You essentially pause the game and play for both players for a bit and then rewind when you’re ready to try a different move or actually make your move.) I feel like I’ve learned more about chess in my 6 games on this app than 20 on the other because I think through everything so much more clearly with this feature2. Game Analysis uses an chess engine to analyze every move made in the game and show you how good it was by comparing it to the move that the computer would have made. Very helpful for getting new ideas based on how the computer would have handled something, and also just kind of fun to see a chart of who was in a better position at which points in the game based on which movesHighly recommend
