I want everyone to see this BAD review. It was a lot better when it was car2go, it hasn’t been a month yet and I hate it. Car2go would include your total trip price plus $1 extra for their trip fee and then your taxes. If you made a complaint even in the app they would adjust the credit. With Sharenow, packages up to 1 day or longer charge for the trips included price, PLUS EXTRA (0.19) for miles, taxes and fees. They do not respond to your app reviews or adjust your account, you literally have to call in or send a direct email to be heard. Most cars I get are dirty, brakes are loose, or the engine is Rocky. The Mercedes are a bit better than the standard fleet cars, but are still dirty when you get them. Cleaning up after other people every time cuts into the time you have to enjoy the car. These car sharing companies come into big city and think of how to profit off of the people in the biggest way possible. I’ve spent thousands with this company and come to the realization that it’s just cheaper for me to purchase my own car. I also requested a refund for extra charges before, I was told I would receive about $13 for the refund and my account literally reflected $2 for a refund. I didn’t even argue anymore. The price for a car note, insurance, gas, and parking would still come out cheaper than Scam now.
Horrible customer service

Recently they debuted a new pricing structure under the guise of giving their customers more options. You now select what measure of time you want to be charged for before your ride. It’s actually just a very non-consumer friendly way to squeeze more money out of their customers per ride. Without ANY improvements. Specifically, having more/better customer service agents. You will wait at least 30 minutes on hold to talk to a human, even if you’re experiencing a problem with your current rental. Maybe your car won’t unlock (while you’re being charged and cannot rent another), your rental won’t end, whatever - you’ll wait 30 minutes. I once had to take an Uber because I waited FORTY minutes for a customer service agent while my car wouldn’t unlock and my card was being charged. You will wait 3-4 business days for a response to an email. And then when they inevitably respond with something totally unhelpful and you respond, you’ll wait another 3-4 business days to hear back. Just invest in more expedient customer service, keep the old pricing structure but raise the per minute/hour/day rates, and I’ll be a happy customer again. TLDR; not transparent with pricing, poor customer service, but useful when it works. Look elsewhere if there’s another service available in your area.
Poor experience

Rented a car with them one time in Seattle. Prolly will never again. I get in the car and it's super dirty, but I think that it's fine because at least the car works. Immediately after driving for 2 blocks, I get a low tire pressure warning. I call their customer service and they suggest we swap out the car for another one. So they give me the address of the nearest car and ask me to call again to perform the swap when I get there. I get there and instead of just transferring my current rental to the new car they end my current trip and have me start a new trip on the second car. This charges my credit card twice. I even lost my $10 off your first rental promotion because of this double charge. They then promise that within 2-3 business days I will receive an email from their member services department after they process a refund for my first car with the low tire pressure. By the way, the second car was even dirtier than the first car and had a really weird smell in it. Straight up, there was a pile of dirt in the back seat: like someone spilled a pot of soil back there or something. Two weeks later, and I still have received no refund on the double charge, no update from member services and when I call their customer service line they just tell me to wait longer and offer no additional escalation options. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company just to get the initial charge removed. It's nice to be able to access a car quickly but their execution is horrible to the point that I likely won't rent from them again.
A lot of ppl are having this problem

I heard your accounting department doesn’t speak to the phone support team at all. I have had an accounting issue for just about 1 month now and I call nearly every three days to check on my issue. My issue is I have several unpaid charges from a month ago and for a month I have called every three days to see if my account is paid up and I can use car2go again. I have actually memorized the speech of the employees of Car2go. They are very polite and supportive but this one thing gets me, they throw their hands in the air and say all we can do is wait for the accounting department. I have asked if they can speak to the accounting department and they say they don’t have access. This does not make any sense to me. How could one arm of a company the works literally with customer care and support and that had the best sense of the information given not be able to communicate with the other arm. It seems blatantly simple but I must be missing a huge piece of information. When basic customer care goes out the window it always leaves a gross taste in the mouth. I will be going through the BBB to reassure myself you won’t automatically send my account to collections, and I can take legal action to protect myself against Car2go and I have tried countless different methods all recommended by car2go. It’s also funny how much I love using Car2go and how hard I am working to get my account settled so I CAN USE CAR2GO again!! Also I’m glad I don’t sound strange as I have read several of the exact same peoples reviews months apart.
We've made some usability and technical improvements to the app.
