Great new App!

This App is great, and very easy to use. While planning for a 4 year olds birthday party I was able to keep track of the guest list, menu items and tasks that still needed to be completed. At one point I handed my Ipad to someone else while oppening gifts and they were able to use the app without much instruction. Much easier to keep track of who brought what present (than the old way of writing it down somewhere that you usually can't find later!) I would recommend this app to anyone who throws a lot of parties, or for the person who just has a hard time keeping track of things while planning an event. It helped me stay stress free and calm the day of the party !

Excellent start but has room to grow

Party Planner is a great app that helps you organize your event by task, plan budget, map the timeline of your event and much more. I was very impressed with the how customizable the app is and how easy it is to get started. There are little holes in the app though that may make it frustrating when planning an event. For example: You are able to create tasks, and then assign a time frame for the task. ie: Set Tables, Day of Event. However, the app doesn't allow you to set a due date after the event. As any event planner knows, there are loads of tasks that take place day after, two days after all the way up to several weeks after the event. Other suggestions: it would be nice to have the ability to assign specific due dates to tasks, in addition to the 1 day, 2 day, 1 week, 2 weeks 1 month etc. It would also be great to assign multiple people to tasks rather than just one. Lots of tasks are accomplished by two or more people. On the timeline tab, it would be nice to assign windows of time for tasks, not just start times. Finally, the app tells you if certain tasks are overdue, but i could not find a way to sort the list of tasks to just show overdue tasks. There are other sort options, but that did not appear to be one of them. Overall, the app is very useful, but with a few extra features and some small adjustments, it could be great!Hopefully there will be an update soon!

I don't know what the other users are complaining about...this is a great app and very user friendly if you have any computer skills! Also, unlike previous reviews state, you CAN add you own activities and other items...just hit the '+' button. I just started using it, but so far there are more features available than I expected, and it's making my party planning incredibly easy! I especially like that I can add users and task my husband with things to do...no more excuses! I would give it another star if I had the ability to export lists (ie. guests, gifts, timeline, budget etc.) to a spreadsheet, but the fact that I can print to PDF is great for the time being! One last thing for the developers...in the menu section when you select the food type (i.e. appetizer, main, etc.) dessert is misspelled.

I don't know what the other users are complaining about...this is a great app and very user friendly if you have any computer skills! Also, unlike previous reviews state, you CAN add you own activities and other items...just hit the '+' button. I just started using it, but so far there are more features available than I expected, and it's making my party planning incredibly easy! I especially like that I can add users and task my husband with things to do...no more excuses! I would give it another star if I had the ability to export lists (ie. guests, gifts, timeline, budget etc.) to a spreadsheet, but the fact that I can print to PDF is great for the time being! One last thing for the developers...in the menu section when you select the food type (i.e. appetizer, main, etc.) dessert is misspelled.

I've tried several different app options for a streamlined planner to help keep my pre-party planning on task and on time and this one was so much better and easier to use than the others. It's not only user-friendly, but it looks sleek while it's being used. I'm able to get everything planned beforehand - guest list, menu (and in doing that, the app makes a grocery list for you!), seating chart, schedule, RSVP and response lists,.. I could go on. I will not go back to any other party planning app. This one will not disappoint you - it's entirely worth the hefty (for an app) price tag.
