Getting started
Simply download the app using data (charges apply for the initial download), but once you’re set-up, there are no data charges when using the app. As long as you have a connection, your banking is ready to go!
Transactional features are available to Standard Bank accounts held in South Africa, Ghana, Uganda, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, Lesotho, Malawi, eSwatini and Namibia. Keep in mind that some types of payments include transaction fees.

Am not sure if it’s the recent update or something else but am beginning to not like this app anymore like I used to. I can’t seem to see anything on my dashboard anymore, everything on the app doesn’t load, all it keeps saying is reload and upon doing so nothing happens, it’s still always the same. I used to enjoy this app a lot, could buy airlines and make transactions but oflate it’s just a mess, I hope you can do something about it.
Good app but has annoying flaws
I_Say_It_As_I_See_It
This app is great and does exactly what I need it to do, except the transaction history is not accurate and not in time order. For example, I made a few purchases on June 30th, which reflected on my transaction history. Then 3 days later I made another purchase at a different shop which reflected but the previous purchases are being shown as more recent and their date seems to have changed too. I’ve noticed this has been happening on my online banking statements for the last 4 or 5 months but it was never a problem before then. Also when I tried to report this problem using the app it wouldn’t allow me to.
Still missing big features

iOS 18 has been out for a full year and still now dark app icon is available for this app, in addition it's still missing essential features1. A budget tracker- on other banking apps it shows you the categories where your money is spent (R2000)on clothes or R2000 at abc retailers) this really helps when formulating a budget2. No savings goals, like with other apps you can set goals on the app and your bank app will help you get there, ie: you want to save R1000 in three months the bank will have a bar of how much you saved and what you need to do to achieve your goal before the time runs out and also notifies you on making a savings transfer to meet your goal.3.bring back the bars to show you your spend per month. ie if you started on the first with R5000 and now you have R2 500 it will show you like a battery bar how much you had left, the old standard bank app did this.
