Talking Clock for iPhone is a voice announcements clock and timer, which can be used in everyday life. The application announces, with a natural spoken voice, the current time or time left (in timer mode) in varying intervals from 1 minute to 1 hour. It even provides a timer - countdown mode which announces the time remaining depending on the settings. Talking clock example: "Two Forty-Five". Talking timer example: "2 hours 15 minutes left". It is a visually attractive, polished, and clear display, with an animated flip clock function. The announcement system also works through headphones. Popular Applications : - Activities requiring precisely defined time - gym training, jogging, etc. - TV Show Reminder - Cooking and washing assistant - Parking Reminder - Wake up call for your afternoon nap - Work stimulator - Don't waste time on unimportant activities when time is running out - Keep track of your working day when under time pressure. - Practice your presentation for a specific period (eg 8 minutes) - A simple attractive tabletop clock or morning alarm clock - There are many other applications *** The Application runs even in the background (adjustable in the app settings)! *** Notifications number in the background mode is limited by iOS restrictions to maximum of 30 - 60 sound notifications, but now works also using background fetch mode. Almost perfect.

I would have given 5 star rating but for one draw back with this almost perfect app. When you’ve used it and done and go to CLOSE the app it doesn’t really close. It won’t shut up 🤐 or down if you will. It continues to give the time. You can’t silence it.

I have only used it for a short period and I'm fascinated. I would definitely love to see this app expand into the Watch, it would definitely be a game changer to not always have our phones to enjoy it's features. This is definitely a great app and I would recommend it to counselors and other professionals who would benefit from better time management.

The last update caused some strange behavior with this app. After updating in January the app seemed to announce the time for days without having to reopen the app to reactivate the talking clock. Now when I open the app to reactivate the TalkingClock the announcement feature seems to be short lived. They periodically last a couple of hours then it stops announcing. Occasionally I get a pop up window telling me the app works best when phone is not in silent mode. I very seldom use my phone in silent mode.

Unfortunately the clock is displaying upside down now. It would be nicer right side up. I have tried deleting the app and putting it back on, does not work. Powering off. Checked for update. It is still displaying up side down. CANNOT CONTACT SUPPORT! Otherwise is still love this app but do hope you can get it right side up!
