This app has so many thoughtful features - like a scroll bar that shows you times vs radar pictures with the ability to scroll forward or backward and stop at any point. A settable grid of weather stats, and very easy to understand daily and hourly status screens. This app was relaunched after 10 years - so any old reviews are not looking at the same thing!
Great app. And it’s back!

I’ve loved this app since it first came out. Great, clear design.Unfortunately, I’m experiencing a rare clear sunny October day in Chicago, so the app doesn’t have much to show. I find myself weirdly hoping for rain…!
Basically The Best Weather App Ever
SleepytimeSnowman
The iTunes App Store is overloaded with weather applications. This is with good reason, of course. I imagine that, like myself, the first thing you do every morning before leaving the house is checking the weather. It's a necessity, especially if you live somewhere like I do where it rains. Like all the time.Anyway, I've tried a couple dozen weather apps from The Weather Channel, Weather Bug, Weather+, etc. These other apps just don't compare to Check The Weather. This application loads incredibly fast (I'm using an iPhone 5) and displays all the weather information you want in a simple, clean, minimalistic fashion. It's efficient and informative and is basically just the best weather app available on the iOS.Buy it, download it, and use it. You won't be disappointed.
Bad weather app

I was very happy until the last update. It has taken a giant step backward. I live in Milpitas CA. Yesterday (Thursday) I noticed that the hi temp was 66F though both the by-hr and chart indicated 76F. This is a huge discrepancy on the same screen. Next thing i noticed was the hi prediction for the next 2 days would be 66F, 81F. I knew that this is likely not true since temp in the Bay Area just doesn't fluctuate that wildly in springtime. This also didn't agree with the built-in weather app on the phone. Sure enough, a day later, the predicted weather from this app now changes 76F, 77F for the 2 days in question. What sort of data feed is this where one can't trust within day as well as near-term prediction. Then I noticed is at the precipitation value now always just shows a "-", as if there is no data. Lastly, on the app now make use of a weather outlook icon that looks like 4 staggered musical quarter notes turned flat on the side. What does it mean? It might be "rain" but i can't be sure because that didn't happen and have never seen this in other weather apps or in the previous version of this app. Strange symbol! All of these things weren't there in the previous version. I would recommend staying away from it till the issues are resolved. What's the use if the info is wrong, unreliable, missing, and not understandable?Update 4/16: This app shows my local weather @ 7:30am today to be 32F, which is 12 degrees lower than my outdoor thermometer. I have never seen a weather app so inaccurate.
Check the Weather is back! Featuring a fresh new design and support for all the modern devices (including the iPhone Duo).
