Use your iPhone as a step counter. Pedometer++ lets you easily keep track of your daily and weekly step counts, without any impact on your battery life. You can view your progress each day from either the iPhone app, Today View widget or Apple Watch app.
App Store App of the Day
iMore.com's iOS Health & Fitness App of the Year.
For best results make sure that you keep your iPhone on you as you move throughout the day, ideally in a trouser pocket close to your hips.
Pedometer++ integrates with the Health app in order to collect and display data collected by your Apple Watch. It can display your step count, walking distance, active calories and heart rate data.
This update is mostly about tweaking things to make them faster and more reliable, I also added a "Remove Ads" button for those who prefer to use the app without seeing advertisements.
Ratings and Reviews
Simple and intrinsically rewarding
I love this pedometer, I downloaded it after seeing it recommended on the Health app on my iPhone and immediately was loved the barebone layout–the app is exactly as advertised, no fancy (confusing) bells or whistles and the best part - no constant spam trying to get you to download or spend money on the app or anything else. I love that you set your daily goal and can earn badges for going above and beyond your goal, monthly challenges, special streak challenges and lifetime step and floor goals to work towards and it’s completely autonomous (!!!) so refreshing especially if your just getting active again or like myself devote your physical fitness and working out to making yourself feel good - not to share your weekly stats with friends/co-workers or family like so many other apps these days. Hitting my goals gives me a sense of satisfaction and this app have helped me reach them in a healthy way–the only thing I would love added is a breakdown by day to see how much you walked by hour but yeah download this app more than work it - thank you pedometer++ team!!! :) P.S. if you go into settings you can see how much you’ve walked since getting the app in terms of marathons, Ironman etc. which is also a cool thing worth checking out that i’m sure many people miss!
A Privilege To Rate FIVE Stars! ⭐️
This is one fun app for motivation to keep me on track of a daily exercise routine! Wether you walk, use stairs, run, I think it even has a cycling option, there is something for ANYONE, even me! 😃 It’s FREE, too!
I’ve been disabled for a number of years, finding even the slightest exercise hard to get back into, I once was active and fit. Not exactly like a model fit, but good at step aerobics and pretty darned agile with yoga. After being sick, for so long, I found myself worse off than starting over to get ANY fitness back in my life, but I have been and it’s such “A Privilege To Rate This App. FIVE Stars!⭐️ Following a number of health problems brought on by the aftermath of stage 3 Breast Cancer, (with 6 very potent chemo. treatments,~after 4 / 6 “chemos”~, lumpectomy surgery, then 33 radiation treatments. Because of nerve damage, I now have Fibromyalgia and Neuropathy, which makes exercise painful, BUT….this simple, fun, and VERY MOTIVATIONAL App!!!🏆 I can set a daily step goal that I can reach, but isn’t too easy, then up my goal as it gets easier. They have a “Tip Jar/$1.99” that is completely optional. You are NEVER asked for it. This app. is a win/win!
Sorry this is so long. I hope you’ll consider this app., enjoy it, but it helps your health and well-being. 🌺Rhonda
For everyone, especially seniors
I gave this app five stars because it and similar apps perform the critical function of keeping people aware of exercise to augment proper diet...both of which can and do contribute to good health and longer life!
In other words, you either move or die. I am forever grateful for learning this as a young physician. My preferred form of exercise was once long distance running. But because I developed the bad habit of doing only right PLFs (parachute landing falls), I ended up needing a right hip replacement. And on one of my early jumps, I cracked the end of my left femur; so, I am now on the mend from a knee replacement.
Now, a little over 2 months out, I am back up to walking 2-5 miles three or four times a week. There is still some minor pain, but every good PT or orthopedist will remind you “motion is lotion”! Even if walking isn’t your thing, get out there and just do something strenuous 3-4 x per week.
Good Health to you all,
Dr. Marshall Dressel, COL, USA (Retired)
