When I want to print my bill payment receipt, it includes by account balances. I email my vendors a copy of the receipt, so they know payment is on the way from EB. I specifically do not want to send them our balance information. This requires me to take several more steps to come up with a receipt without that information. I’ve contacted EB multiple times, but it must be something in the software they use that cannot be edited? Wish it could. I am tending to use my other bank to pay vendors, just for simplicity’s sake, but prefer to use EB.

This particular edition of the mobile app is clumsy and not mobile user friendly. This is particularly true for bill pay - something I use and depend on extensively.First, not all key information is visible on the screen while making transactions, leading to -sometimes very significant errors. It also has a floating, rather than fixed decimal in this part of the app. This has led to very expensive mistakes. It is not intuitive, and trying to muddle through can lead to unplanned issues, such as hiding the bill i’m trying to pay. It will show the last amount paid, which is helpful, but beyond that, good luck. The only two ways to find out prior payment history are to pay what you think you owe, or review the whole account history through all transactions. It would be very helpful if they had a link to prior transactions on the front screen of a payee. I do like the actual calendar next to the amount. This is quite helpful, thank you.For funds transfers, there are now several steps to transfer from one account to another. Sometimes, once a transaction goes through, there is no indication within either account that a transaction ever took place- again leading to errors. For parents trying to help young adults fly the coop, this is very frustrating! Same with giving allowances- it appears that in the evening, in particular, this is problematic.

I was told by a bank representative that the app change was because there were problems with commercial banking, so they changed companies.The bill pay is absolutely the worst! It used to be so user-friendly. On the right hand side you could see your pending bills, when they were going to be paid, and a total. With one glance, you could figure out your budget.It’s also more difficult to see payment history with a particular payer. The worst though is that I used to set up automatic E-bill payments which were shown in the pending. I actually went in and spent almost a half an hour with a teller who Skyped someone in the bank and together they could not figure out how to set this up again with the new system. I had to resort to letting different companies go into my checking account and pay my bills on the due date, something I really don’t like. The worst thing is I don’t see my pending payments anymore. All of a sudden I get a notice that the money has been taken out of my account.I too am loyal to Exchange Bank, but I am seriously considering leaving. They spent so much money alerting us over and over about this “wonderful” forthcoming change . They seriously should reach out at the same level to their individual accounts and get some feedback.

Try as I might, I cannot successfully get the app to start recurring payments on my home equity line of credit. Recurring transfers from my external bank account? No problem! But when I try to pay down the money I owe exchange bank, I receive an error message that says I did not complete the date field even when I did. Even when I try dates two weeks out, two months out, six months out, a year out: all the same error. It makes it seem like Exchange Bank intentionally makes it easy for you to give them your money, but hard to pay off your debt to them. If you cannot actually establish a recurring debt payment on this app (or at your institution), then why have recurring payments as an option? Poor user interface and experience.
